PVR Raja a Mink Variegated Rex Dumbo with Lightening Blaze and JM Joe Perry an Agouti Self Dumbo, were on honeymoon for a week.  I have been so excited about this litter for about three months, and after one failed attempt to breed them, i am happy to say that we have a *Big* belly!   Raja is due the 11th at the earliest, so i expect her to get even larger.   Both of these rats have excellent type, so i expect a wonderful litter.  I'm looking forward to seeing how well their ears turn out, considering both parents have GREAT dumbo ears.  ;D

I'm sure some of you remember Nebula's litter and my camera breaking.  Well, I have a camera now, and you can expect me to share lots of pic's this time around!

Raja is HUGE! She started to nest yesterday but has not finished quite yet.  It might not be for another couple of days.  I am guessing either tomorrow or Thursday.

My computer died an unexplainable, sudden, and unexpected death!  :'(  :'(  :'(
Right now i am attempting to steal my mothers old computer.  Its ancient, but i'm hoping it will work until i can get mine fixed (which i dont even know if its fixable!)

But anyway, no babies yet! BUT, before i left she was very restless.  She is huge, although i havent been able to get any pictures yet today, for obvious reasons! I didnt want to leave her, but this was the only chance i had to come get this old computer from my mom, because my car is also dead ::)

I'm not having the best of luck right now, so i'm just hoping Raja brightens my day with a nest full of happy eepers when i get home!  ;D

WE HAVE BABIES!!!!! I'm not sure how many, but more than 12 at this point, and still counting.  I dont know if i'll be able to update again tonight, but definitely in the morning!

I get to tell the baby news!!

Raja had some difficulty at the end of her labor and then didn't want to nurse the babies at first. Amber was up all night keeping the babies warm and gave them some KMR. Eventually Raja's momma instincts kicked in and she's taking care of all the babies. They are nursing and have milk bellies.  :binkybaby:


All but one of the girls are standards, and all but one of the boys are rex!  Mainly light eye'd babies!

I want to thank Stacey for updating for me, since i got a late start this morning and had somewhere to be.  It was a looong night, and i got a pitiful few hours of sleep, i was tossing and turning the whole time and got up every few hours to check on them.  I'm not even sure i did more than doze off here and there!  Thankfully Raja decided she wanted to be a good mother (about 8 hours after having them!) and they are all eeping and are really squirmy and pink!

A few of the babies are bruised, but other than that all looks good so far! One babies "belly button" has a piece of bedding stuck to it, and we are watching that closely.

Yes, the babies are great.  I was not so great last night.  I was on the couch for the majority of the evening, with a severe migraine and all that good stuff :confused:

BTW: I want to thank everyone for the great naming ideas! I was having such a hard time coming up with a theme, but i guess Raja kinda came up with one for me!  ;)  I'll be compiling which names i like best for males and females, and i'll try to post them tomorrow!  Probably in a week i'll start assigning names to the babies.

it's crazy how much they've changed, even from 10/15 to now!
my mom decided the darker babies look like little mini hippos  ::).

Today i got a better look at the babies.  I can see markings on many, but the berkshires and self will be impossible to tell apart for a few days.  It *appears* that two of the boys are merled.  One of them is, for sure.  The other is harder to tell because he appears to be a darker color.

I can't really tell colors yet, but it shouldnt be too much longer!

I could not believe how much the pups changed in just a few hours! I can now almost tell 100% for sure what the colors are!

I just adore these pictures, they make my heart melt.  Raja is doing good, and being a great mother.  She is rather errr...'chubby'...as you'll be able to see from the pictures.  She's loving being a mom, all the extra goodies she gets is well worth it.   :wink5:
She was actually not wanting anything to do with the babies, i had to force her to stay in the pictures! This was "her" time, and she was not happy that she had to share it with her kids!  She kept racing under the pillow's and blankets.  It was quite cute.  I made sure to give her some extra time away from them for being a good sport.   :laugh:

a little off topic, but my cage is scheduled to get here tomorrow! a little early, i know.. i didn't realize it'd get here so fast! it'll be hard not to put it together right away.. but it'll be a little pointless to have an empty cage sitting for 4wks.!

If you put it together now, you will have plenty of time to decorate it just the way you like it. You will have 4 weeks to go out and buy at least one of everything so they won't be bored.

The babies have done a wonderful job of cheering me up today.  I found out last night that when my computer died, i lost all of my pictures.  I lost a lot of pictures of my past litters, and TONS of pictures of all my rats.  I am a huge picture person, and i just feel like the world is coming to an end!  I have been crying all day, as pathetic as it sounds.  I still have what i have uploaded to photobucket (which is not much, unfortunately) and what is uploaded to my website (a good amount of pictures, thank God!).  I am kicking myself in the rear because i had bought the disks to transfer all the pictures to, and just never found the time to do it. 
Not to mention we lost 100's of dollars worth of games, and programs.  I can't find my Publisher Pro disk.  I am just going insane!  After moving three times i no longer have the serial numbers for the games, or half of the disks  :poke:

Ah, its just been one of those days..... :sad11:

I'm sorry to hear about your pc going down. Don't feel silly for crying. I've been there. It isn't fun. In fact, I really need to learn how to burn cd's so I can put all my pics of breeder fish and geckos and the rattie kids onto something less at risk. I have everything on photobucket... almost.

 ;D that's exciting! i might want one of the boys (i'd get him neutered of course, i have a great vet).. my boyfriend (who's been sucked into this whole 'rat search' by me  ;)) wants one of 'his' own, and he wants a boy if possible.
question, can you post which babies have dark eyes and which have light? i can tell which has which for some of them from the pictures, but not all.

The Blacks and Agouti's will have black eyes.  The Mink babies were born with light eyes, but they will darken.  Same with the cinnamon kiddo's.  Starling and Carol Anne will have light eyes.

10 days old today.. can't wait til their eyes open!

Okay, much to my boyfriends chagrin, i have chosen my babies.

And i picked three.  I was supposed to limit myself to at least one or two.  Well, three is close enough!   :cheeky:

It was so hard.  I wanted to keep them all, but thats not possible unfortunately!

I picked two of the boys, Vorhee's and Shyalmalan(who now revealed himself to be a pearl merle!).  It was such a hard decision, but being a breeder i also had to look at other factors besides just what baby i liked.

And i only picked one girl, and it was super super super hard! I'm a sucker for Standard coated babies, so i chose Samara.   It was a tough decision between her and Charlene.  I ended up having to make my boyfriend choose for me it was so tough. 

Now i just have to fine tune the waiting list, and i will be contacting you in the order you appear so you can pick out your babies!  Being that its the only way to be fair, you can only pick one baby, and then when i get through the list the first time, I will come through the list a second time and you can pick another.  That way the last person on the list isnt forced to take "whats left".  Or, so that one person doesnt decide to pick three babies, and then the last person gets screwed over because there are none left.   :wink5:

i figured i'd start posting how old they are in the morning.. since i have nothing better to do  ::).

I have the pictures for the website, but they wouldnt let me upload them last night.  Then a whole bunch of crap happened and i havent gotten to it yet! I have them, and they WILL be up within the next few hours.  Promise.

I am sooooo glad I have Tiff's little ones or I would be tempted to ask for a couple of these cute babies of yours. They are just adorable and I can't get over the beautiful colors! 'Course, it would be quite a trip from here to you...  ;D

The babies are doing wonderful, and they are growing SUPER FAST!

Bad news:
I got my computer back last night and had to take my mothers back to her.  I have to find the software for my camera before i can reinstall it and be able to take pictures.  I can't find the stupid disc!  I might have to go back to my mothers, get the software (we have the same camera) and then install it.

I will take pic's, and just store them on the camera until i can get them up.  Wouldnt want to miss this ultra-cute stage!

The eyes are getting there! I have been treating all of my rats with Revolution yesterday and today, so i have had limited time with them.  I'll be taking them back out for a better look and some more pic's once i finish posting this!

The babies are doing good.  They are very vocal and are starting to scoot around like hyper little ones, and their ares are starting to open!
My mommy is getting married today and im the maid of honor (and here i am on the computer when i should be there already!), so i'm going to be gone for the majority of the day.  I am getting the software, and i promise LOTS of pictures tomorrow morning! I am so excited, i can't go without taking pictures.  It makes me crazy.  :hyper:

Kruegers Pic is on the website now as well.  It kept telling me the file was corrupted so i couldnt get his picture up.  I finally got it figured out.  The reservations are coming along better now.   Everybody seemed to want Jigsaw  :poke:  So, it's been hectic, with them saying "OH, then if he isnt available let me get back to you..." Jigsaw was the first baby picked, so this is what i'm hearing everytime i contact the next person  ::)

My camera is NOT the best, and if the 'subject' doesnt sit completely still, the pictures are horrible.  So, i held them for these pics.  It worked for most of them.  I need a decent camera, one of these days i'll have one!

I had a promising interview today, everybody cross your fingers for me because i need this job SUPER bad.   The hours are not ideal for me and my fiance, but...i'm still hoping i got this job, because this is the only open Veterinary Assistant position i was able to find!  I can't wait to get in there and start working in the field, it seems like its taken me forever to get here.  I'm hoping i'll find a job that offers employee discounts, if ya know what i mean  :cheeky:

I will get more pictures tomorrow, considering i only had about 20 minutes to devote to photography today.  So, hopefully i'll get LOTS of them tomorrow.  So far i have the whole day free, and as long as i wake up at a decent time, i should have them done by noon.

Baby update:  They are soooo cute!  They are constantly sniffing the air and cleaning themselves.  They arent the most coordinated little ratties yet, so sometimes they'll be in the middle of cleaning and they'll start to fall over  ;D

I have a house full of new babies myself, but these babies are so cute... I can make room for a couple of selfs I saw in the bunch. They are just darlin'!! It must be the ears, or the ears, or maybe it's the ears!!!  ;D

I thought i would give a little update since i'm extra proud of these babies! For some reason, they are calming down a lot faster than most of the babies i've raised.  That would be why the picture quality is a little better, i can get them to sit still a lot easier. Thats also why there are more pictures than usual.  If they continue to be this well behaved, there will be A LOT more pictures to come, that was just too easy!

The babies have a "playpen" which is a huge laundry basked with a blanket lining it.  Tomorrow, we are going to move to the bigger playpen.  Which is the couch! Standard procedure: Throw an old sheet over the couch to keep babies from getting in the cushions, add lots of toys (they LOVE toilet paper rolls!) and treats, and then add babies!   The babies have graduated from little playpen, to big playpen.  I will get lots of pictures to share their first couch experience.  I might let them meet daddy, just for the sake of some extra cute pictures! Its not like HE cares, but it will be interesting to see the size difference and such.   After they get used to having lots of room to roam on the couch, i'll start allowing them to play on the bed.   

I'm going to have to start taking them out in groups.  I still bring them all out, but they beg for my attention and before i know it i have 13 babies crawling up my arms and into my hair.  Its sometimes rather hard to keep track of them all.  Its easier as long as i stand back and allow them to play on the couch where they can't reach me.  As soon as i set my arm on the couch, they all come running and climb onto me.  Heh, whats a better jungle gym than mommy's hair??  :cheeky:

Anyway, they LOVE their wheel.  Mom can never use it without the babies taking over.  As soon as they hear the wheel start to go, its like they are ALL there and wanting to run on it at the same time.  These babies have a weakness for Pea's, and they are super cute when they are eating them! I'm making them some Oatmeal now...i *might* be able to grab the camera and snap some Dinner Pics  ;D

i'm glad they like the wheel! i just ordered a wodent wheel from kim's ark yesterday for them  ;D
they already have 4 dearpie hammocks, 2 wonderrodent cubes, and other various things.. my boyfriend & i are going to petsmart tomorrow to get more stuff too!

I got tons of stuff too. Funnels, and tons of little hide outs. Wood chews. I got this fish shaped ferret hammock I figured it would be thick and warm for my ratties. I ordered a wheel but it arrived damaged, so I have to return it and grab another. 

I keep going to petsmart everyday and stare at the rats.  :heart: I can't wait to show my rats their cage. I'm so excited.  ;D

Finally, pictures! I had so much fun playing with the little boogers, it took me nearly two hours to get the pictures.  ::)

They are just like little mini-rats now.  *sigh*.  It happened so fast, where did the time go?

There are a few babies that are HUGE: Carol Anne, Samara, and Johnny.  Then there are two that are on the petite side: Emily Rose and Jigsaw.  The rest are average, although they are all really chubby!  They got to move to an even BIGGER cage yesterday, i was going to get pictures but i had a really bad heachache and once i got them situated i didnt feel like doing much else.  :(    They are having a ball in their new cage, i could watch them for hours on end.

Tomorrow i'm going to weigh them, its always fun to see how much they weigh.  :D

Aw, I've been following this thread from the start but I think this is the first time I've posted.  Your babies are perfect!  In the most previous set of pictures, I especially like Lan.  He has such beautiful markings and a sweet little face, and I love an "oddball."  :)

The babies are SO adorable! I love them all but Jigsaw and Vorhees are my favorites. What adorable little boys. I love how they need to grow into those ridiculously cute ears! You can just send me...all of them! Or any other boys you got in stock :wink5:

Wow, these babies are adorable! I need to get some more dumbos.

aren't they though?! they're all so.. pudgy and adorable. and those ears are just icing on the cake  ;D.

Don't mean to hijack the post, but a quick question:  Are Dumbos generally chubbier than rats with standard ears?
Kyomimi is such a chunk compared to Mia and Fang!

sara- i'm no expert, but i don't think the dumbo ears have any effect on how much they weigh.

Well guys, i am sick.  Dreadfully sick.  Yesterday was spent in bed with a headache and ear ache, and today i got the sore throat and everything else to go with it.  Blah!  So forgive me if the next few days lack updates and pictures.   :BlueDumboBigEyes:

Sara: There has been speculation on this.  You may hear that dumbo rats are more sedate, thats the most common one i hear.  I have also heard people say that Dumbo's get larger, and chubbier.   IMO, theres no difference.  The ear placement and shape gives the rat a more broad looking head, and i guess in a way that can make the rat look larger all around.

Well, i'm feeling a bit better!

But, the house is a total disaster.  The SO took the initiative to clean the rat cages for me, but because he did that he felt he wouldnt have to do much else.   :poke:

I have LOADS of laundry to do, probably a good dishwasher full of dishes.  Not to mention floors to vacuum and all that good stuff.  :BangHead:

However...i think i'll be able to take some pics when i get the babies out for playtime.  ;D

Today is not a good day.  I am losing two of my precious girlies.  One, Nakita, has been declining for awhile.  But my girl Trinity, this is unexpected with her.  She was on antibiotics for a URI, and it seemed to have cleaned up.  Now she's barely with me, it all seemed to have happened in the last 24 hours.  Theres nothing i can do for her, she's only 17 months old. 

I have been babying my darlings all day, while trying not to neglect my other kids.  I havent been able to do much with the babies yet.  I had to clean their cage today so they got to play in their "playpen" while i did that.  I'm going to do my best to get them out for a good long playtime with me later, and i'll try to get pictures then.

I'm glad the little babies were able to cheer you some.  They are definitely adorable.  Some of them have the cutest little smiley faces in those pictures.

5 weeks today!

36 days!

I wanted to give a quick update today!

Two of the babies (Charlene and Rosemary) went home with Megan last night.  I usually wait until 6 weeks, but it worked out well for both of us to let her take them home now.  They are totally healthy and theres no reason why they couldn't leave.  I'm going to miss them bunches, and i hope Megan will share lots of pictures!

The rest of the babies are going to be with me until the 29th, so we'll have a lot of pictures of them to come.

Yesterday i seperated the boys from mamma and the girls.  They look a little bit dazed and confused, but two of my three month old boys are keeping them warm and snuggled.  This morning they are doing great, and took their oatmeal enthusiastically.  I think they are getting used to not having Mom with them, and seem a lot more confident today than they did yesterday.  I've never really seen a litter affected like that by being seperated.

These babies are smaller than some of my past litters, but its also one of the larger litters i've had. 

Today is the OSU and Michigan game, and i'm going being dragged along to the SO's cousin's house for it.  I'll get pictures either after the game, or first thing in the morning.

poor little boys, i'm sure they'll get used to (and love) their new found freedom though!

i made them a signature graphic today  ;D i'll probably re-do it once i get them home, and name them.. unless i decide to keep their original names =]

Charlene, Rosemary, and Accused. (still haven't felt any new name vibes from them yet) Accused actually jumped out of her cage today - I left Amber a message on her cell if she wasn't busy to call me and give me some advice on how to find her. (my room is a mess from looking for her - I had so many nooks and cranies.) Turns out she was hidding under the bookcase/cage stand the entire time.   :-[ She scratched me something fierce when I finally found her and went to pick her up... :-\ Sorry for bugging or scarying you Amber. But eh, I knew I was going to find her - I just didn't want her to get hurt or anything, (my room isn't rat proofed yet - it's not even human proofed!)

So far Rose and Charlene have been pretty friendly and active. They've been eatting, drinking, and climbing up and down the cage. Accused seems lethargic (but she's also a skittish rat - so I expected her to hide) she took a treat from me today though, and gave me a kiss when I was cleaning my blood off her from the scratch she gave me.

Well, its been rough here.  I have been so busy with babies, and so many old rats that are not doing good.

Megan: I actually cannot get my messages on my cell phone right now.  It tells me my code is incorrect, which is a load of crap!  So, i never got your messages  :-[  Sorry!!!!  I'm glad you found her though.  She is probably really stressed out from being in a new home, she's such a nervous girl.  Its just her nature, but i'm sure being in a home wiht less ratties she'll be able to come around a lot better than she could here.  I just couldnt spend that extra time with her that she needs.  I am still very thankful that you decided to take her.  What does your dad think so far?

I promise pictures today, very soon! I'm sorry about slacking on them, but i lost another rat last night after fighting for three days to keep her here.  Its been tough, and its hard to get that extra boost of motivation to take pictures, i'm just emotionally (and physically at times) drained.  I apologize!

Well, i am in tears because i just found that my girl suffering from CHF just passed on within the last 20 minutes. 

I went to take pictures, but my camera batteries are dead.  Theni found Lexi was gone.  BUT, then i remembered that i've had these two pictures for weeks and keep forgetting to put them up.  I'm hoping this will hold you guys off until i can get to the pictures!

It was so cute because he wouldnt even get up to eat the noodle, he had to continue to lay down.  It brings a smile to my face, even now.

What cute pictures and silly babies.  I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch with your ratties.  I hope the babies can help to bring you some cheer.

She's getting a bit better. She still cowers from my hand when I stick in the cage. But if I pick her up and cuddle her at the right times she'll stay still and let me pet her. She actually groomed herself on me!   :D

Charlene and her have been cuddling in the fish and leaving Rosemary all by herself on the bottom of the cage. I don't think she minds though, because she gets first dibs on food.  :P I decided to call Accused, Lily - for some unknown reason. Just thought it was a good name. She looks like a Lily to me. Still have to think of names for the other two, maybe I'll keep Rosemary's name and go with a plant theme? ^^;; We'll see.

My dad seems pretty alright with it. He was unamused when Lily got loose - but he's better. He has no choice in the matter. Hahah. Rats are awesomely cute. My friend wants to get rid of her rat - and I keep telling her to post something in the rats rule forum. I would take it if it wasn't sick and wasn't male.  :'( So I've been spending my time looking for places close to her so she won't just let him go or anything. (She did that to her cats once - well her mom did - just let them loose in the woods - Effing Sick, right?)

I'm sorry about taking so long to get them up, i meant to do it last night but after Lexi passed i was out of it and didnt feel like doing anything.  Then today I had to do some traveling to pick up some babies, and by the time i got them settled in QT and all that good stuff, it was later than i thought and i had still had chores at the barn to do.  It never ends.... But i got them up, i guess thats all that counts now.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  Today is going to be insane for me, i've been making Pies all morning (i hate pies and dont eat them, but i guess i make good ones), and i've also got a ton of Banana bread for the ratties baking.  They deserve something for this special day too  ;)

The babies are HUGE, i never did get around to weighing them.  Randomly, i weighed Starling (and she's one of the smaller ones), and she weighed in at roughly 110 grams.   :P

i forgot to post earlier, 41 days today!

stacey - yes, they're getting done while at stacey's! for $119 each! so total that'll be LESS than what i'd pay here for ONE to get done! i'm so happy it worked out the way it did  :)

in their most recent pictures, i couldn't believe how big they all looked! no wonder, banana bread, noodles, baby food, tuna.. they're eating like kings ;D!

They get something special everyday.  Growing bones, ya know?   ;D  They also get Suebees, lab blocks, and dog kibble.  For as much as they eat, i'm surprised they arent bigger than they are....

Just had to share: I had Samara and Emily Rose on my lap (they are nearly impossible to tell apart these days, Emily rose is a bit smaller and their personalities are different), and Emily rose sat on my knee, as still as could be, for nearly two minutes while i petted her.  Her eyes were closing, and she was fainltly bruxing and boggling! Thats the first time one of the babies has been so calm, and a female at that! Woot!

Welllll...OK as long as your are sure...but I *KNOW*how "things" get lost in transit and well they are going to the mountains of W.V. and well I would hate for them to get lost on one of those back roads and never find their way out again...maybe we need to get them injected with some type of GPS or tracking device...I know they need to be strapped with a Tom Tom device so we can triangulate their position from a satellite ...   ;D

Yay, it's official, I'm picking my babies up on the 1st! I'm so excitied. I'll also be delivering Miss Tinkerbell to her home :).

My truck broke down a few days ago and so I was worried about getting to pick them up at all because my mom works and I would have had to borrow her car. She said I can do it as long as I found her a ride to work. I found her one today! I'm so happy :). I also had to finalize a quarentine home. I love my boyfriend's family :). So.. everything is set! I'm sooo excited. :D

I just got an email from Stacey.  They took a little side trip to see Lake Erie and got lost a few times, but finally they are all safely in West Virginia and settling in great.   :thumbsup2:

I made the rats dinner, and made almost 2x as much as i needed.  It was mechanical, and i've been near tears a few times tonight as i've realized "oh, they are all gone!".  I'm pathetic!!!!

Now i can sit back and relax, because my job is done here....the rest is mainly up to Miss Stacey.  Phew!  :cheeky:

I wasn't able to pick the ratties up on the 1st. I had everything ready and I left at 6:00 am but then the cars transmission was majorly messing up. It didn't want to go into drive. I ended up going 40 mph on a highway :-/ it wasn't safe so I turned around. I think I will be able to pick them up on the 15th. It's longer than the rest of you who get to pick them up in a few days :-P. Oh well.. I have to wait until after finals because I can't miss anymore and Friday I don't have a final and then I'm done, so yeah.. Friday the 15th, hopefully.. By then they'll be two months old :( it's sad, but they'll be home before Christmas.

The pics are gorgeous. I can't wait until I get some of the girls!

SO!  I have a husband to surprise and a daughter who is getting antsy to see Tink...which brings me to a possible solution on getting said rattie and friends further along on the rattie train.  Stacey would there be any way you could meet me in Morehead KY to pass off all the ratties?  And Leona could you make it to Richmond?  If so then I could pick them all up in Morehead and meet up in Richmond to pass them on to Leona. I could go on Thursday if that's good for both of you.

I'm going to Lexington, Va. - unfortunately Morehead will be 400 miles out of the way. That would make the trip over 12 hours - thanks to my new best friend, narcolepsy, I can't drive that long because I won't have anyone to help drive on this trip. 20 minutes and I get to call home....ack!! When I dropped them off, the nurses at the vets office loved the boys! They thought they were very handsome! The vet was starting surgery at noon on them. I made up my extra rubbermaid tote cage for Penny and Freddie, no bedding just lots and lots of paper towels. "Grandma Linda" (my mom) is going to check on them until I get home at midnight-ish. The vet is cool too, she is giving them pain meds at the office and sending pain meds home with them - for just one flat 12.00 fee per boy! (good thing it wasn't per "man-bit") Dr. Gwen rocks!

I just got off the phone with mom, both boys did wonderfully! Penny was still a little sleepy since he was done last. They are comfortably settled in at my house, in their tote, holding a frozen pea to their "man-bits"  :yelcutelaugh: Ok, I'm kidding about the pea!

 ;D a pea?! hahaha.
i'm glad they're doing well.. i can't wait til wednesday! tell your mom thank you from me!

Okay wow so I like posted a couple of days ago and like it didn't show up. So I'm reposting..

I said that I would definitely chip in also, the only thing is that I have to do it after finals and my last final is on Thursday so Friday would be the best time, also I still have to go to Huntington. It'll save me a lot of time though. If I had to go to Parkersburg it would have been over a ten hour round trip drive but if I can just go to Huntington then it'll save me a good couple of hours, lol. So I'd have to pick up the girls in Richmond.. Or if Stacey wouldn't care, I think Huntington is a lot closer than Moorehead and I can just pick them up from there (if that's alright, I dont know, just trying to do what's easiest for everybody) it also may be cheaper for me because I can still chip in for gas but it'll be less expensive, plus i'll be renting a car and then paying for my own gas and stuff. So yeah, I really don't care what we do XD as long as I get them soon.

Oh gosh, my girls are so gorgeous!! :) So is everybody elses :-P

Well I wouldn't want to make you drive up here twice so if you have to go to Huntington anyway just let me know when I would need to meet you to get Tink.  I misunderstood and thought you were only going to WV to get the ratties.

Oh that's fine! Thanks anyway, it would've  been a BIG help. If Stacey is willing to meet me in Huntington it could be done on the 15th or maybe even sooner. Like on Wednesday my last exam is ends at 12, I wouldn't care to drive at all, oo and even better on Thursday my final ends at 9:55 so I could drive straight from there and back. I don't have anything on Friday so that's a full day of playing with them if we can get it done sooner xD. I can have someone go rent the car for me XD and just be super careful so they can bring it to the campus and we can go from there.

all of the babies are doing well. pennywise is a bit skinny, but he'll put that back on in no time haha. freddie is HYPER, he's already bouncing around the cage like he's been in there forever. i can tell he's going to be a little trouble maker  ;D.
carol anne & emily are a bit scared, they're hiding out in their wonderrodent cube for now.

still thinking of names for them.. i know freddie is going to stick for sure.. we were thinking of penny for pennywise, but that's kind of a girly name..
carol anne i was thinking of annie, and emily for emily rose.. eh, i'm not sure yet, we'll have to wait and see once all of their true colors come out  ;)

The 15th is a Friday, I can only do Wednesday or Thursdays - those are my regular days off. If we can meet in the northern part of Charleston, that would be better. I'm not going to be able to drive very far until I get my meds adjusted by the doc. in January. I feel asleep driving when I was coming home from dropping off Kady's kids.

Charleston would be fine on Thursday I definitely don't want you to injure yourself :). I just can't leave until my finals are through so that means around ten in the morning. I wouldn't get up there until two in the afternoon, would that be alright?

there you go amber  ;D. the girls have been much more social this evening, i think they're settling in a bit. freddie lives to eat. penny lives to sleep. annie and emily.. love to sleep too  :yelcutelaugh: annie is the chillest female i've ever been around. emily is starting to show her true colors, and is popcorning all over the place. freddie has been popcorning since i put him in the cage yesterday!
i think these names will stick.. unless someone else suggests excessively cute ones.

i took two videos, but when i uploaded them to my computer, it uploaded them like the were pictures  ???. i'll have to work on that one.. they're cute too.. hmpf.

Thank you Kady! They look wonderful, i've noticed when taking pictures its easier to sometimes place them on a white background.  I can get good pictures of PEW's and all that way.  Give it a shot, i just use a white bath towel draped across a chair most of the time.  I've had success with light blues and things too, when it try red or black i get insane flashed out pictures!

I really miss them, Emily was the calmest here.  Once she settles down i'm sure she'll amaze you.  She'd sit in my lap and just enjoy being rubbed on her face (she loves her cheeks rubbed) and she'd just close her eyes and relax.  Annie enjoyed having her sides scratched more than Emily did.  I can't wait until they settle in and show their true colors! Your going to adore them.  Freddy was a lover, Pennywise...well, he was just plain goofy! And it sounds like he's the same way there.

I'm sure they are really nervous right now.  To go from home, to a strange place, and to another strange place just as they were getting used to the first, has to be rather stressful and scary for them.  Give them kisses from me, and tell them i said to come out of their shells!   :heart:

they're much more social today! they are all such sweet babies. freddie has made me laugh the most so far, he is just SO funny. penny is starting to popcorn around now too, he's so adorable. the girls are both actually calmer than the boys.. how crazy is that? they don't play with each other near as much (yet anyway), and love to just cuddle together. i'm really enjoying them. i can't believe i was ratless for like 4yrs.!

I miss the boys!! I fell in love with them, they were sooo cute!!  :heart: I have grown extremely fond of boy ratties.
