Mama Maggie was supposed to be snake food but had eleven healthy eapers on 3/15 instead.  She has integrated with our girls and will be staying. The girls have been adopted (Bubble and Squeak, Thelma and Louis, And Little Miss Lady), and two of the boys are spoken for.

We also have a slightly older PEW boy who is finally beginning to socialize.  I think he is about six months old now. His name is Butler.

Four of the six adolescent males, all standard eared PEW, are still available, as well as buttler. Butler is still shy but they are all handled daily and the other four are well socialized.  I would prefer to adopt out in pairs unless you already have a group to which they will be added.

I can't adopt at the moment, but depending where you are in PA...I live in MD so I can meet up with you and transport another hour or so from where I live if anyone needs transport.  We are in Gaithersburg, MD.

I'll keep that in mind, and thanks! This extends our "southern" range a bit!
Maggie is comming on a treat!  She now comes out to talk to me if the babies aren't nursing.

Babies will be fully weaned by four weeks!  This little rescue and her brood will need homes very soon.

I am actually travelling to the Storrs, CT area on the 20th and can do delivery anywhere along the PA tpk N, NJ Tpk, Garden State, 287, CT-15 (Merrit), 84, 684.  Anybody out there  :help: that can transport from there?  Yes I still have everybody.  :thumbsup2:

We've decided to keep Mamma Maggie (they have a way of squirming into your heart) but the eleven little surprises still need homes.

The 20th...has to be the 20th, huh.  I was looking to adopt a third girlie, and I loves me some PEWs, just to round out my clan.  Only, my nephew is getting Christened that day, church at 1, then the huge party at 3.  I am RIGHT on your route, walking distance from the Garden State Parkway...exit 117.  It's like such a near miss!  You aren't...maybe taking a very leisurely trip, and breaking it into two days, are ya?

It's dawned on me that these boys, at 3 months, are nearly as big as some of my adult rats. No signs of monster hormons, still very sweet, but they need their own homes soon!

*bump* i got my Lady from RatAttack59 and she is the best girl ever! Great health and she is a big girl..shes the youngest of my four but slightly bigger...beautiful too!! Very well socialized! If you want a sweet rat these guys are a great choice!!

I would love to take one, to be my baby boys new friend (his brother, Aang, died last week)...

If you can get one out to Vancouver Island, BC, I would take one, but I can't travel for them.

I'm sorry to hear about Aang, but I don't think I can get to BC - I think it's like a six day drive!

New Pictures!  The noys went Pea Fishing while their cage was being cleaned!  They were WAY more interested in what I was doing with the camera than in fishing the peas out of the water. Note: their eyes are fine - not sure what the camera did (their tails on the other hand clearly need a good cleaning)

Oh, they're splendid, just like I expected they'd be.  I sincerely wish I had room for more, I would take them in a heartbeat. 

Bump - these guys are really very social but they need their own homes!

All six boys are still at home.  In theory, two have a home to go to in August.  The young lady taking them is traveling this summer, so I'm hoping that nothing changes. I should weigh these guys again (if they'll stay still that long) - they are getting big!

We've finally made enough progress with Butler that I can offer to place him as well.  He's a little older - probably about 6 months - and came to us absolutely terrified and possibly never before handled.  He is now anxious for interaction but still fearful. He does not yet take food from my hand but does come to greet me when I com into the room.  He will need a patient family! Picture to come...
