------- So, being my cheapo self, I got a generic plastic "Petco" water bottle for the new ratties instead of spending a few more bucks to get a glass one. I didn't notice that it couldn't go through the dish washer until I got home. :doh: What's the best way to clean it? Will filling it partially with Apple Cider Vinegar and shaking that around be sufficient? I have always just cleaned my water bottle with the other rat dishes, sloshing in some regular dish soap and rinsing well the same way I do my own dishes. If it is a cheap water bottle then it can always be replaced after a year or so as well, if you notice any discoloration starting of the bottle. Ever feel the "slime" in the dishes when it's time to wash them? Can't see it, but you can feel it. The vinegar REALLY cuts through that. Works great for the dog dishes, that's how I started using it.
