Just bought this along with my 2 new baby male rats. I plan on putting 1/2" chicken wire around the cage till they grow in size. Any idea how long it takes for them to be full grow? I don't know if I'd use chicken wire to modify the cage. Most people on the forum who have that cage use hardware cloth and there's even a tutorial stickied at the top of this section.

Takes my girls 4-5 months and boys would be just nice at 3-4 months of age. |
