Dairy products really shouldn't be given to rats.  Soy milk and rice milk are great, though, and ratties adore all forms of soy yogurt  :)

My rats love chocolate. It doesn't hurt them. They get one dark chocolate chip each every week, and it is one of their favourite treats! Milk chocolate isn't as good for them, because it is mostly fat and sugar, whereas dark chocolate is more nutritious.

Chocolate soy milk should be fine. Just be careful of all the sugar that is in it.

I am not sure about straight milk, but regular plain yoghurt is fine for rats. I give them a spoonful every week with wheat germ and fish oil sprinkled on top. Cheese isn't very good for rats, I think, because there is a lot of fat in most cheeses.

hm ok. i was just wondering because every morning i take my girl out and let her wonder around on my desk and bed (there right next to each other) and do computer stuff before i go to work, and I always have a bowl of cereal in the morning and she always comes up to me and starts stealing my cereal and she drinks the milk.

also one day i was eating rocky road ice cream and she really really liked that. (rocky road icecream is chocolate w/ nuts and marshmellows in it).

so i wasnt to sure if i should let her eat or drink that stuff.

I wouldn't, since regular ice cream has a ton of sugar in it.
