Title: never thought I would be saying this.. wanted Northern WI Post by: rhinelander rat rescue on May 18, 2008, 08:58:30 PM The Rhinelander Rat Rescue is looking for, a baby female ratty.
Situation is...Mazey a very loveable girl and my ratty pr rat has been alone since lil blue passed on... then she had Aiden for a few days before he passed on. The rescue has several female rats however, none that appreciate a mothers love. They do not want anything to do with Maze. I have tried every possible female in here and because most of them have come to me in pairs they are not happy. Or the pair has tried to beat up my ageing girl. I am looking for healthy young rat or two females.. under 1 year old, babies are probably better though. She misses blue, so blue rats are a plus...she likes to groom them, and gentle wrestle so hairless are out.(as much as I love them) Their temperment has to be awesome. Mazey is a licker, and a motherly type, go anywhere rat. The ratty will stay here permanently. I have more then enough love for everyone. Title: Re: never thought I would be saying this.. wanted Northern WI Post by: ratty_pack on May 19, 2008, 07:26:32 PM Could Belle be your girl? We adopted her two weeks ago. She has a very "soft" and "easy" personality. She loves a warm, enclosed snuggle. Her eyes close half way with head scritches. She is very slow moving for being a girl! I find that she doesn't hold her ground at all with her cagemates. In particular, Lucinna can be on the aggressive side and Belle doesn't stop her in the least.
She may be a far better match with a gentler cagemate. We are in Carpentersville, IL. Belle is an American Blue marked top ear. Interestingly, she currently has two different colors of blue. The lighter is where she has short hair. The darker blue has a sparkle to it and is the longer. I think she is transitioning to the darker blue now. Title: Re: never thought I would be saying this.. wanted Northern WI Post by: rhinelander rat rescue on May 23, 2008, 10:14:42 AM She is a gorgeous hooded blue gal!! I will have to see if I can get a ratty train together some how.
Ratlovingkippy211 do you have pictures of your blue gal? And where are you located at. Mazey used to live with two other rats, her daughter Molly and then lil Blue. However Mollie was born with a defect in one of her heart valves and at just under a year old she had a massive internal bleed and passed unexpectedly. And my sweet lil Blue was one of the casualties of whatever strange illness I had run through the rescue. I may just take both of them in for the simple fact that Mazey is getting up there and if something would happen to her I would not want to be in this situation again, they would have each other for company... Ratty_pack I will pm or email you about Belle.
