I looked for mites , i don't see ANY .  I also gave her a bath to see if it would come off , and it did , but the next day , you could kinda see it coming back .  It almost looks/feels like the fur is turning red ? !  Its between her shoulder blades , and on her back .  Is anybody familiar with this ?  She was just at the vets for  URI , and i forgots to ask [[Kicks myself]]  :worry:
:help:

All I can guess is that it's dried blood, but then why would it slowly have a tint again? :icon_scratch:

She also did have a little tiny scab on her back [[I have no idea what it is from , her cagemate is kinda a lazy butt , so she probobly didn't do anything]]  But its practicly healed now !  I don't know if that has anything to do with it though . . .   ???

It's just poryphin (Okay, I know I'm spelling that wrong.) that got rubbed on while grooming.  I have a split-cap and he has it on his shoulders to the point he'll be getting a bath soon.   :yelcutelaugh:   Scared me the first time I saw it, but I came on here and saw a thread explaining it.   You see it a lot on light-colored rats.  :3  I'll try to get a picture of it on him to show you.

It'll come off with just water, but I wouldn't worry about it.  Here's a pic of one of my boys:

I think that it's just poryphrin. My rat Charlie always excretes it out his nose while he is grooming. It's normal.

Rats can also reach around to the back of their necks  ;) -- to spread all that porphyrin around.
