Title: Can I treat lice with Advantage? Post by: Starbuck on July 09, 2008, 06:51:15 AM Yeah, the question is in the subject line. Will Advantage kill them? Or should I use ivermectin (my mom ordered horse wormer so we should have that on hand soon, I have used it before).
I know they are lice because I saw the wee devils. Title: Re: Can I treat lice with Advantage? Post by: Marybelle on July 09, 2008, 11:26:47 AM I've treated lice-y rats with Advantage before, and it does seem to work! A lot less work-intensive than the ivermectin, too. :) One treatment lasts a month, which outlasts the life-cycle of the louse, so you just have to keep the cage clean, and be sure to freeze bedding!

Thanks. I just dosed them, hopefully they'll feel better soon (as soon as they stop trying to lick eachother, hopefully yogies will distract them enough). Title: Re: Can I treat lice with Advantage?
