Title: Re: would this make a good rat cage,if i modify it? Post by: MiniMuffin on July 10, 2008, 05:25:40 PM You'll be better off just getting a good rat cage in the long run, rather then putting time and effort into something that won't last.
From what I can tell, homemade cages really don't pay off in the end, because of all the time you put into them, not to mention the cost of the supplies. Title: Re: would this make a good rat cage,if i modify it? Post by: Fleur.Cirocco on July 10, 2008, 05:37:07 PM Agreed. It might make an okay cage, but with all the time and money you'd spend on it, you'd be better off buying an actual cage, probably.

Like everyone else has said, by the time you get the rest of the supplies, you could have just gotten a decent wire cage thats better anyway. I know people that have builttheir own cages and spent hundreds of dollars and then bought a wire cage anyway.
