My dear Athme, how I adored you and your sister Niobe. You two made such a pair when you were young. You were both so calm when we first got you, so trusting. You all were the best of what I could have hoped for. The last litter bred by NCN who had just recently moved to KY. And I'm glad they did, or else I'd never have known either you or your sister.

I've lost contact with your breeder to let them know how things have gone these past few months, and sadly they've not been the best.. but I have enjoyed knowing you nonetheless. You and your sister turned a year old and it was as if a switch had been thrown. You both began to get ill on and off and neither of you ever really got better. But you had the advantage of having teeth that did not grow too far and I think I got to have you with me longer because of that. Your poor sister Niobe just couldn't cope with it all.

You started getting a tumor then too and it grew, but not too much. I was worried that it would be the sad end, like it was with our beautiful Jazmyne and Sophie. But in the end, you just got pneumonia and lost so much weight. But I know you loved those frosted flakes I snuck to you. And the baby food and icecream. Anything I could get you to eat.

I'm sorry baby that I wasn't there for your passing. I've held everyone but you and I wish I'd been there. You held strong to the end, being your ususal self. My blue flame. My goblin earred beauty. I never thought you'd be gone when I got home, but I didn't miss it by much. I still wish I'd been there, though maybe you knew best.

I miss you already Athme. Play well at the bridge with your sister. You can share some of your frosted flakes with her. Maybe she'll trade you a yogie instead. I love you baby and I hope to see you again, in a healthier body next time.

Oh, she was a beautiful girl.  :heart: I am very sorry for your loss, and I hope you heal soon, but never forget her.

I really think the second picture is calendar worthy. And the first picture made me smile, despite how your story nearly made me tear up.  :'(

 :'( what an absolutely beautiful girl... Im am so sorry she's gone to the bridge, but just remember she's healthy and happy now, running and playing pain free and whole with her sister .  I agree that second picture is calendar worthy.. you are in my thoughts.
