Title: the martins playpen Post by: betti_page on October 06, 2008, 08:38:48 AM hello everyone. so boyfriend and i have been thinking about getting the large martins playpen. we have a serious self propelled jumper in our group, and i just think having the top on it will be the best thing. any opinions on this playpen? does anyone know of any other brands that are similar in style, just for price comparison? i have seen the grrreat wall, but that is pretty much what we have now and well, it doesnt contain well! ::) thanks!

I'm located in VA too and have been coveting one of these (the boys play on the bed, but with 6, that may be a bit much to keep track of). I know a lot of people recommend that size and the brand (I did a playpen thread a month or so back). Good luck making a decision!
Title: Re: the martins playpen Post by: julztoni97 on October 06, 2008, 09:55:03 AM It is definately worth it. I use it every day, folds down flat and leans between the wall and the FN. I love that it has the cover because mine loved to jump out of the playpen we made for them. Shipping shouldn't be that bad to VA seeing as Martin's is in PA. Shipping to CT wasn't that bad. It came quick and I set it right up and used it almost immediately. I have a couple little bent bars but nothing that deems it unusable.
I definately would recommend it. I hang hammocks from the top and fill with toys. They play in it for hours. Cheerio, when i looked at the website and went to order it, it was like 20 for shipping. we havent gotten it yet, but i went all the way through to where you put your billing info in just to see what it would be!
Title: Re: the martins playpen Post by: mandycoot on October 06, 2008, 01:01:31 PM There's no playpen I know of that has a sturdy lid like the Martin's playpen, and the fact that they fold flat for storage is a godsend! I have both sizes and believe me, they're worth every penny! I wouldn't buy any other playpen.
Title: Re: the martins playpen Post by: OdysseyDesign on October 06, 2008, 09:38:22 PM I was able to pick the Large Martin's Playpen used (THANK YOU Chelsey) and I love it. My girls like to scale the wall of the old playpen and race around on the edge. Elizabeth figured out the grass is greener on the other side and always went on adventures in the family room. First day I put them in the three girls that are jumpers automatically jumped straight up and right into the lid! They learned fast and now look like a bunch of spidermen scaling the sides trying to figure out how to escape the lid.
