Title: 2 Sweet Girls- Kansas City Area Post by: eveliens on October 13, 2008, 11:16:24 AM I've been putting this off because these two are really sweet girls and I really like them. However, my living circumstances will be changing in the future, and I need to start re homing some of my rats. Unfortunately, these two are first up because they were originally fosters and weren't supposed to stay. They are also the "babies" of the group and probably 7-8 months old.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/eveliens/FC.jpg) Flower is the chocolate girlie. She is a very inquisitive and playful rat. A true GIRL. She's gogogogogo all the time. Her nickname is "monkey" because she likes to hang from the bars (usually upside down) and can leap about 2' in the air. She "talks" to you by moving her mouth when she's excited or curious. Also, she has a really odd heart shaped marking on her chest-- obviously because she's a sweetheart! She's a tiny girl, the smallest of all my rats, and she's not going to get much bigger. Chicklet is the black hooded. She's a little more laid back than her sister and a bit chubbier. She loves giving kisses and climbing up on your shoulder. She's also a very sweet girl with other rats and has no problem with them at all. When you can get her to sit still, she really loves to have her ears rubbed. Both of these girls are very friendly with people and give kisses all over your fingers, but they do not like being picked up. Once they're secure on your shoulder or in your arms they're usually okay though. The best thing about these girls is that they're very dainty. They take their treats very politely, never mistaking fingers for food. They are also in excellent health and have not had any respiratory problems since I got them. And, if you're really feeling up to a challenge, there is a third cage mate. Widget is a black hooded. She's very hands off. I've been working with her since I got her (almost a year ago) without much luck. You can pet her and carry her on your shoulders, but she gets very anxious about it. She will fear nip but has never bitten. She does not like other rats aside from Flower, Chicklet, and Charm (other cage mate). Widget will only be adopted out to an experienced rat home.
