Lover of all that sneak and squeak

« on: May 05, 2002, 11:32:33 AM »

Okay, I just did a search and didn't find what I was looking for, so forgive me if this is an old topic...  I have been reading about how males tend to get obnoxiously hormonal at around 6 months.  I sort of figured if my guys, who are from three different litters but have been roomates since weaning, get along now that they would always continue to do so.  But it seems like some people are having issues come up at later ages.  Is this the norm?  What have others experienced?  I would not hesitate to get them neutered if this became an issue, but havn't seen any need to do so yet.  Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I've had my older 3 boys for a year now.  Two different litters, the first one we got in april, then the other two almost 2 months later.  We have gone through some aggression, puffing up and boxing, a couple of bites, but nothing TOO terribly serious.  I'm still keeping an eye one ONE boy who was always the most docile and now is the puffier of them all!!  They've calmed back down again for the most part, but I keep it in the back of my mind that if it gets out of hand, to the vet he goes!!!!  BUT, it's not always the norm, as MOST people seem to have their boys breeze through that stage without many difficulties.  I'd say it's a case by case situation.  Good luck!!!
