I called High Park and they want almost $400 not including meds to neuter two males.  ICk.  Links Rd want's about $300 including everything but I have never been there and I don't know their reputation.  If it means the best quality then I of course would pay whatever is needed but I just don't think that the quality is neccesarily that great at HP.  Thoughts anyone?

Rattie surgery is expensive isn't it!!  My vet said that neutering a rat was actually harder than doing a cat or dog because of the size and delicacy of the animal.  I wish they would come out with rattie birth control pills!

The prices seem about right compared to what my vet quoted, she said $75 but that was JUST the actual neuter part, the surgery Mr. Higgins was going for already was $300!

If I was paying $300 or $400 I think I'd want to know that they had a good success rate.
good luck!
