Rat Lover!

« on: April 16, 2002, 08:04:05 PM »

My rat just kicked me off the couch!  Cass, my spoiled bRAT decided Mommy was taking up too much space on his couch.  It's a recliner and is where he comes out to play.  He is often out for most of the evening.  He came over as though to wrestle and proceeded to nip my hand between all the fingers and the flabby bit of my forearm.  The more I squeaked (and giggled) the more excited he got, puffing up and running over my legs and then darting back to nip again.  No hurting but he's never been so persistent.  I stood up and he did a little victory dance all poofed out.  THat's what I get for being lazy and watching TV on Cass's Couch!!

That's awesome!  (Sorry about your TV-watching, though....)  I can't help myself--I guess the main reason rats are so attractive as pets is that one really can enjoy them as things that are not only alive, like plants, and cute, like, say a lizard or something, but as beings with distinct personalities who truly want to interact with you.  Rats are so GREAT!  Sorry--didn't mean to get toooo ebullient...
