Yesterday i took my girls to the vet, they went in thier travel case which has been sitting outside by my front door.As an after thought this may not have been the brightest thing i have ever done. All four went but it seems to me that sara is extremely itchy this morning, the other three don't seem to be(as of yet)Im thinking i probably have exposed them to mites or something else.If this is the case, what next Huh Huh Huh

Since you've never experienced parasites before, and you're not sure, my recommendation would be to take them back to the vet and have the vet confirm or dispel your suspicions.

Mites are usually microscopic, so they are very hard to diagnose. If she starts to get scabs, then I would be really concerned. For now, I might just keep an eye on her to see if she scratches more. It could be nothing... sometimes my rats have a day or a few hours where they scratch and scratch, but nothing is wrong -- they just want to scratch! Grin

Thank you suebee....Sara seems to have stopped scratching for the time being.Guess she decided i was entirely to at ease after the thumbs up from the vet, probably thought i needed something else to worry about.
