Was there life before rats?

« on: September 16, 2003, 04:53:42 PM »

I just found a lump on one of my girls.  It is near her back left leg and the size of a peanut.  It was not there last night and she was at the vet 3 weeks ago for a respiratory infection and he checked for lumps and found none.  Is it normal for them to come up that quick?  She has an appointment on Thursday, but I'm nervous.  Please help.

I have found that they seem to appear from out of nowhere.  One day the rat is lump free, the next you find one.  However, I'm sure that they just reach a size that is perceptable when you notice them.  Good luck at the vet.

I had a rat with fatty cysts.  She would have no lumps one day and have one, but most of the time multiple lumps, the next day.

Yep.  I have a girl who developed a tumor back in February. Tumor free one week, and on the next checkup she had a lump.

We did our weigh in/weekly check last Wednesday and I discovered a tumor on another one of my girls (her sister) that was not there a few days before. Odd how that happens..
