Yay! Pics are up! Here is Loki and Dax out during playtime on the bed! They are my most recent rescues (and the last for now since I can't cram anymore in there). Anyway, Dax is a little nervous out on the big bad bed! He will go all over if I lay on it with them, but once I get up, he hides under the blankets. Loki likes to check everything out though. Well, here we go.......................

PS - Does anyone know why his tail is like that? He grooms himself. It looks funny now that I look at the pictures.

OMG Loki has gotten so big!  What's funnier is that Dax looks close to the same size already!?  They are too cute, where might a person get a rat as cute and sweet as yours?  huh?

about his tail, Is that the color? All of my rat kids have had dirty tails. they wash every where but thier tails so I usually wash them.

What bedding were/are they on? I found that Cell Sorb was making my rats' tails dirty (especially since they don't groom them often) but then when I changed them to Sani Chip it got a little better. I would think Yesterday's News might do the same.

all the ratters are super cute his tail just seems to be dirty and has shedded some of its scales showing the nice clean new ones

I thought it was that, looks dirty to me. But some of it is nice and clean. My other rats tails aren't like that so I don't think it's the Y.N. - thanks for all the advice though! And yes, I am rather proudof my cutie-wootie watties!

oooo oooo i have never had the privaledge of being owned by a bareback...  gimme gimme!

and where did you get those pillow cases, i found a top sheet in a laundry room (it was there for three weeks before i finally just "adopted" it) that is that exact same pattern and i love it!

but a little olive oil soap and a nice nail brush (plus someone to hold the ratties or at least keep them distracted) will do wonders for taking that dead and dirty skin off the tails.  in fact....

Wow!!  Loki looks just like his bro in Michigan - Cosmo.  Is he growing as big???  Cosmo may be the biggest boy I have raised yet!!  He already weighs more than his one year old roomie!!  Here he is:
