Okay, well, my rat Stitch just had rittens... I didnt even think she was pregnant! She was a rescue that someone was gonna feed to their snake but she was too big so I got her. Well little did I know she comes with many more "free." I dont know how many cause I'm too afraid to disturb her, seeing as she didnt have them yesterday and this is her first day. She seems well... acting normal and the babies are all healthy that I can see anyways, w/o taking them out of her cloth tube. If they make it I will keep at least 1 or 2... maybe more... I am not sure how many there are yet- i dont want to disturb her on her first day with them. This is a total shock, and I was hoping someone would be able to take some. I feel stupid that I didnt even notice, but she has been a bit skittish and I havent actually held her yet- just let her climb in a pouch and lay it on my lap.

I live in Eastern New Mexico... if anyone has any interest please message me.

Okay I have 5 females and 4 males- (DOB 10/01/03)
(i may be mistaken on some but I will know for sure in a few more days)

Their mother is Amer. Blue Capped
These would be pets only- as their mother is a Pet Store rat and the father is unknown.

8 of her babies seem to be blue capped also, with one white which is a female. Again- I will know for sure once they get more fur. I am putting all but 1 or 2 up for adoption.

I will be in Indiana during the last 2 weeks of October, and be heading back around the 31st or 1st of November. I can drop off if near my route.

I have held these guys since day one so they should be socialized. Please look into your heart and give these guys a home if you can.

jillybeansalad: please note that the babies really won't be ready to leave their mom yet at the end of October.  they should be at least 4 weeks old (that would be November 2), and better 5 weeks before you separate them.  While a day or two may not seem like much of a difference, it is a great difference for them, as their growth is so rapid.
