Hello Kaylee.

There's actually a website and forum for Canadian rat lovers! I am also a part of that forum.

I'm from Canada (southern ON), and I was wondering the same thing!  It would be neat to have a rat show here.   I'm sure there are enough Canadians here to arrange something like that!

There's an excellent Canadian rattery listing in the Pet Rats Canada site Kelly gave ya.

I hail from my quiet li'l Hickstown of Huntsville, Ontario (north of Barrie).  So, it's a bit of drive from London, but nothing's impossible! Grin  I'm still always hopeful for a possible rat show around here, or in Toronto. . .

I'm in Petawawa (2 hours north-west of Ottawa) in CANADA! And Kelly's right, that's a very good site and forum for us Canadians. *grins*

I am from Michigan but hope to relocate to Norfolk County Ontario by spring. I was in Bramford peaking around yesterday and it seems I will have no trouble keeping my ratties on Suebee's Mix in Canada. Anyone have info in RAT IMPORTATION to Canada?

The only thing you will have problems with is there's no Total ceral here. I use Vector. Unless that is you have someone that can send some from the states.  Cheeky
You could phone customs about bringing your rats here. The US customs should be able to give you the Canadian customs number. Hope this is helpful.  Smiley

I'm in the west end of Toronto.  It would be great if we could have some kind of rat event, maybe a show for PETS rather than real show rats?  Or maybe just a rat frolic!  Of course, a lot of shows are being cancelled to prevent spread of disease - its a real concern to think about.

I really think it should be a gathering for the humans and not our ratties. Just so we can protect our pets against the risk of getting anything. Everybody could bring pictures of their ratties to put up on a big board. Just an idea.  Ratty Smiley

I know ILuvRats uses Vector, but I find it WAY too high in sugar content to ever consider using (not trying to be mean, ILuvRats).

I go to the pet store and buy a dry, small animal vitamin, and sprinkle that on my mix. No sugar, and all the good stuff.

On PRC there has been talks of people getting together, and some people in certain areas do have get togethers often.

I, infact, went to Halifax for a visit and met most of the rat-people there. It was SO fun.  Grin

If you're on PRC, check out the "Events" section, I know BC people and ... I think Ottawa or Toronto areas are planning... maybe Winnipeg. Not sure. If not, you can always post about it yourself, and set something up.  Blue Dumbo Smile

I know you are not being mean KellyNZoo.  Wink I just wish to heck we could get Total Cereal here. I read the box of Vector cereal and it says 10grs. of sugar per 55gr. serving. I just considered that my rats aren't going to eat that much of it. They do get Nutro, fresh veg and a little fruit, and a whole lot of other healthy stuff. So I thought that would balance out the sugar concern. Of course I could always put more wheat puffs and rice puffs in and less Vector. The wheat and rice puffs I have have no sugar or salt added.  Just my opinion. Might check out the Vive cereal but it is soy based cereal. Not that that's bad, just thought Vector was better.  Smiley
