Rats 4 Peace

« on: October 09, 2003, 11:15:02 AM »

I have 6 babies that need homes. 5 boys and 1 girl. They are a cream color and black berks. Mother was a feeder that was apparently pregnant when my husband bought her. They are now 5 weeks old. I am in the Charlotte area, and can travel a little to get them to their forever homes. You can email me at Katrina_Herron@yahoo.com if interested.

I might be interested in two little ones. same sex. I do alot of children class room and boyscout meetings with my rats so they have to be very friendly. I know at this age they usually are if you have handled them alot. I live in near Raleigh, NC. Some of my rats are getting old and ready to be just cuddled by their mom and close friends. I could really use some new little ones for the kindergarden presentations. What is the mom's health like?

Mom is healthy, but not very friendly. She came out of a feeder bin, so was not handled very much or at all. My husband only had her a week before she gave birth. She can be handled and petted, but not a big cuddle rat. She is an amazing mother. My husband didn't handle the little ones a lot before I got them, but I try to take them all out and cuddle with them. They are coming around.

As long as they can be handled I can work with them. Do you have pictures?

I want either two girls or two boys I would prefer two fawns but I will take one of each color. I wasn't sure of which ones were the boys and which ones were the girls in the picture.

I think I can work out two fawn boys. That is the only color I have left in the boys.

when could I get them. If they need handling alot the sooner the better. I really need them friendly by Easter. I usually do the kindergardens when they study the letter R. and they usually do this by Easter. especially handled by children, this works out easy for me because I have a 6 yr old that loves rats

You wouldn't happen to be coming anywhere near Charlotte in the near future? I don't really travel much, but we could meet up somewhere halfway or I could try going out to Raleigh. Whatever works best for you.

I could probably plan a sunday trip to
charlotte on October 26th if that would be okay. I am not sure how far Charlotte is from Raleigh though. Maybe we could meet half way.

Two fawn males is correct. Getting to Charlotte is pretty simple. I believe you just take I-40 to I-85.

I've been thinking about that. Obviously somewhere easy to find. Would a restaurant or Wal-Mart be fine?

That is fine with me.  What ever is easier for you. I can look it up on mapquest hopefully if not I usually ask for directions at gas stations anyway. I am leaving here early Sunday morning and should be there no later than lunch.

I picked up my babies today and they are so adorable. They are really friendly too. My children fell in love with them and have already named them Logan and Merrick. they are to cute.
