Rat emergency-take to the vet or not? can they even help her?

i need anyone , i dont care who- to tell me if i should take my silver-fawn-dumbo  felene(Fu-leen) to the vet ,sometime today, wile i was bathing my rats (10)
i notised that felene was limping and not wanting to play in the water-a favorite weekly pastime-,she was favoring her left hind leg-any time her cage-mates came near her to see what was wrong, she would chitter her teeth at them  and then attempted to hide from them, i saw this and i took her out of the bath right then, and seperated her from the others, i think its her ankle or her upper leg, its not her hip, because she didnt squeal when i touched that- we had her walk on my bed so we could see, and she is holding it so close to her body its like its not even there, the toes also are tightly presed together and slightly dragging on the tips,i am worried because she is so still when i had her in my lap-she is never that still, and has never fallen asleep on me before today.....i realy need to know if i should take her to the vet on monday, or today if it is that bad- problem is saturday vet charges more than normal....$$$....can anyone out there help me deside what to do? please? my mom said they may not be able to help her, but vets are better with rats now...so...?

How is your emergency vet? Do you think they are knowledgable there? If you are not sure, and she does not seem to be in pain, I'd try & get an appointment first thing Monday at your vet. I do think she should be seen, but if she isn't in pain, & you think the E/R vet won't help much, I would think it'd be ok to wait - it's only one more day.

Is there something she could have twisted her foot on?
I know this is not much help, but I know what it's like to be left hanging when you're nervous.

I would certainly take her.  Being as she's not bleeding or anything that's likely to be immediately life-threatening, she can probably wait until Monday.  But she should be seen by a vet.

She needs a vet. It may be just a sprain, but I'm sure it's hurting her.

If it's not life threatening, please wait until you have a vet who knows rats.

around here, the ER vets don't do rats. I'd hate to think what a non rat vet might do (might make things worse).

Also, by monday, she may be getting around fine.

If it seems to be something very very serious (that is, if it somehow progresses to the point where you think she might be in danger somehow), then you may have to take her wherever you can. But otherwise, I'd say wait.

 It's always best to have a vet at least look at her if in doubt. Even if it's nothing serious then at least you'll know for sure.
