There are 19 rats at the West Los Angeles Shelter in danger of being euthanized. They need new homes ASAP. If you are interested, you can view their pictures at

. On the left hand side, click lost and found animals, then on the next window, click West LA, THEN, on the next window, click "others", and scroll down to see the rats.
Poor babies..they become available on Dec 3rd, and this is a kill shelter. They do not have much time.

The term pocket pets is used to describe small pets other than cats and dogs. It in no way suggests that these small pets are "throw aways" or not as worthy of proper care as "larger pets!

I could pick them all up. I live in San Diego. I could drive up north to the shelter and get them. But I cannot keep them. I have no space to keep them + my in-laws would kick me out if I adopted more rats (even thought I only have five rats!). If anybody could welcome the rats in San Diego (or between San Diego and LA)? That would be great! I am more than willing to drive! HELP???

Dan in Venice took them in, so they are safe. They are seeking new homes if anyone is seeking to adopt!

PEFECT!!! I'm glad to hear this! I couldn't sleep all night and got out of work earlier just in case I had to drive up there. What a good deed of Dan! Please, anybody has some more space for those rats?
