If you could please send me an email with some information on these two boys that would be great.  I have been active on this forum lately because I am searching to add a couple more boys to join my current three seven month old boys.

If you could please describe to me the boys previous living situation, their diet, medical history, where they were purchased and about their personalities that would be great!  My email is woncentguy@yahoo.com

aLSO pictures too if you can please.

thanks a lot

PS I live in greenwich CT

they aren't two boys - one is a female and the other is a male Smiley the male is a baby and doesn't have much of a history at all - hes only 2 months old Smiley these are rescue animals and not purchased - they were taken from the NH SPCA when they had 60 or so rats come in that they couldn't place. this boy was from the last litter they had at the shelter, all the females came pregnant.

if you are interested, please email the ark at adopt@kimsarkrescue.org . all information regarding our rats can be found on the website. as with all of our rescues, they are bed on safe bedding (white tekfresh or tekfresh), eat harlan lab blocks (with a mix of suebee occassionally) and are housed in appropriate caging (the boy is in a martins).

just to update -t here are actually TWO females in the foster home - a tan berk girlie who is QUITE a handful - shes very alpha, and she loves to play, rough! she also currently nips if you stick fingers through the cage, but doesn't break skin.

the PEW Obaby girl currently have about 4 applications on her, so safe to say at this point we have a home for her.

does no one want an ADORABLE PEW rex?!?!?!?! little wooly sheep!

The pew rex boy is my little baby  Smiley He loooves food and is starting to get a fat belly. He's very cute, he has a short face that reminds me of a hamster. And he the only NH rat that I've fostered so far that kept its wavy coat! He 'tests' things with his teeth a little bit when he's in the cage but doesn't realy bite down. Maybe because he has pink eyes and is trying to figure out what's in front of him? He's never done this out of the cage and it shouldn't be much of a problem. He's not as active as my other boy and I think he'll grow up to be a chubby guy who likes to cuddle  Smiley

The tan berk girl is calming down a little, but everything that Kim said still applies  Wink

A pint of Guiness cures anything

« Reply #5 on: January 07, 2004, 01:21:58 PM »

Hi! I presently have one female rat, and I'd be interested in a friend for her (Actually for me....lol) I'd like to adopt a MALE-that will be neutered immediately, simply because the boys are known for their cuddling abilities-I spend alot of time sitting in front of this computer, and a lap pal would be fantastic Heart! (My female would much rather run  :hyper:around with my son! ) I have the space for another cage, so quarantine wouldn't be a problem,
If the PEW male is still available, I'd love to meet him! (And give him a forever home) I'm located in Eastern Long Island, NY.
Let me know what I have to do....
Thanks
Lynne

Hi Lynne,
I answer the adopt emails and while Kim gets up at the crack of dawn, that's when I'm going to bed. So expect your replies in the dead of night Smiley
