I got a new vet - she was great!
She also told me to give him Vitamin C and grapeseed extract - is this ok?

I don't know anything about Grapeseed extract... but I know that generally, rats do not need extra vitamin C in their diet -- their bodies make it.

I believe humans and guinea pigs are the only species that need vitamin C supplements.

If your rat is ill with a respiratory problem, though, a little extra vitamin C can't hurt.
