Don't eat that! It's not for rats!

The girls stole a whole pack of Polar Ice Extra out of Amy's purse, and chewed a chunk about the size of a lima bean out of one corner, and the size of a pea out of the other.  Will it just pass without incident or should I worry about this?  It's been a day and they look fine so far.  On a related note, does anyone know how long it usually takes for food to go from one end of a rat to the other?

Thanks,

db

My rats have gotten hold of my packs of gum before with no ill effects.  I think the main thing you would have to worry about would be choking, but sounds as if they are well past that stage!  Not sure how long it takes to pass...you know the old saying, 7 years for gum to "digest"   Tongue  But seriously, I think they will be fine.

One of our boys stole a lump of gum from my daughter's mouth. It was so funny watching him chewing and chewing. We tried to take it off him, but there was no way he was allowing that! It didn't seem to do any harm though.
