OH, and none of the boys have been reserved yet (most of the puppies by Baci are reserved & have deposits on them by the time they are 1-2 weeks old!)... A & B are $500 each, and C is priced at $550 because his color is so hard to get.

One more dog is always better than however many you had before hehehe  I'd be happy with just one though.  I've still got my eye on a pure white one, and now I've learned about white german shepards.  I think I'd like one of each someday, wouldn't that be so cute? Smiley

Man, I would TOTALLY be tempted with my tax return check, but you probably wouldn't ship all the way here anyway.

COMPLETELY white chihuahuas are hard to find 1) because they tend to be deaf (and not truely completely white) and 2) most white ones are lethal whites and die shortly after birth.

The boys DID have a sister in the litter and she WAS a lethal white, she did however pass away shortly.

oh, and about the one more dog thing... the 3 boys bring us up to TEN!

betsy (a rescue of ours) will be adopted out NEXT MONDAY! i'm so glad she found a forever home...

however IOLANTHE, a sweet little 7lb chihuahua/min pin mix who found her way to us is looking for a home now (seriously!) her adoption fee is $250 and she comes already spayed, crate trained,  and  house broken. she is a special needs though, as she can climb ANY AND EVERY FENCE. underground fencing only makes her go nuts. she is looking for a home with children 4+yrs, who are active; or someone who will take her everywhere with them! she loooooves going on car trips! she does like to run amuck, but WILL come when called, and never strays too far. she enjoys swimming, hiking, running, and playing. she is a VERY good guard dog (will bark at strangers coming to the door, will NOT bite!), and also likes to sleep in bed with you at night.
Io is a white dog with black spots and tan points... She looks very much like a 'rat terrier', however her tail is NOT docked.

Any takers? email me for pictures! (Fifthfallenangel@hotmail.com)

just so you know, this isnt the board to advertise your puppies for sale.
also, i checked the CERF database as well as the OFA and couldn't find your dogs in any of them for eye or patella problems? I asked you on your other thread about that (if you tested) - just wondering if you saw it?

they have been cerf'ed, however we never sent the papers into the registries. the chihuahuas have excellent eyes, and rosies are 'good'. diva was SPAYED because she has retinal displaysia which appeared as mild on her cerf. even though bostons aren't a breed that often carries it, i did NOT want to encourage it in the breed by passing it on through dee... she is conformationally beautiful- but her genetics are flawed. not fair to her, the puppies, or any potential owners!

as for OFA, chihuahuas are a small breed. hips aren't what you worry about generally, its their patellas (knees) that often give out. our vet has done flexion tests and x-rays on all of our breeding dogs (and we had baci done). she says they all have VERY good patellas... the only abnormality is tess has double jointed elbows!!! very strange to see when she sits funny and they'll turn odd ways, but we DID ask the vet, she x-rayed them and says that there really isn't any reason we shouldn't breed her, and she was sound. when in movement she has no problems, and they are no cause of pain to her.

thank you for your concern, but we did do a lot of background checking before we bred them - same as we do for our horses.

sorry about the advertising, but we're getting a little antsy about Io. she really does NOT like having the puppies in the house and keeps trying to get into the room they are in (she has left scratch marks in the door my dad is NOT happy about). she also has been here for rehoming a very long time and even BETSY who was a severe abuse case is leaving before her!

That's odd. Really? I know of several chihuahuas who have problems with their hips, and one had to undergo major corrective surgery for it just last week. Worry Poor little bugger, the owners were of the same mind as you "but he's a small breed!" and really weren't expecting it. It wasn't something they had budgeted for..

ravyn - that PA in front of her name is her location Smiley

OFA database is for hips, elbows, knees, cardiac reports, as well as thyroid, vWD and a few other things. and small breeds as well as cats can get hip displaysia Smiley

did you have any homes lined up before you bred the litter?

*laugh* I should have clarified. I was asking 'where are you at, pennsylvania?'

I guess that's a yes. Still too far.

Ah, well. Can't go and steal one then.

kim - SOOOOO funny you asked! the owner of the stud, baci, has a list of people waiting for baci babies that is over 50 prospective owners long!!! there is a VERY HIGH DEMAND for chihuahua puppies from her because baci throws such wonderful temperments!

Bear with me, since I'm not savvy on dog breeding...  If Bacci's pups are in such high demand, why aren't his pups going to any of the 50 people on the owner's waiting list?
