Hello all!  First time posting at the new board.  I'm having some problems with it. In order to view it at all, I have disable my Norton Security, which is really scary as I am always being attacked with Trojans Sad It looks pretty neat though!
An update. Well, the little tiny baby that Charm had, died! It was so sad, it was as if she kept looking for it around the cage. Her little nipples were so swollen and looked so uncomfortable, I went to a pet shop to buy another infant for her. I asked if they had any newborns they would sell and they brought out two that had been born that morning, they were in a little box and they were like little ice cubes. I asked why they were so cold and she said that they took them away soon after birth as they were going to freeze them to be sold for small snakes, that they had too many babies anyway!  Well, needless to say I bought them both, brought them home and put them in with Charm and she instantly started to clean them and love on them, it was so precious! I was afraid they might not make it, but they seem to be doing well!  They are nursing and seem to be just fine.....the idiots at the pet shop were telling me how I was going to end up killing them because she would not accept them, that she would kill them. Well, I of course called them and told them how she took them in immediately.
I'll keep you all informed on their progress!  OH!  This pet shop was selling Russian Blues for $14.00 .

Woohoo! That is so awesome! I'm so sorry you lost the baby, but I am SOOO happy you were able to rescue those precious little babies and that she has accepted them. What a good Mommy!  Smiley

I sure wish attitudes about animals would change for the better. I'd love to see the U.S. outlaw selling ratties, mice, etc. as live food.  Undecided It's astonishing to me that so many people see animals as deserving lesser treatment than humans. One example: I've had two occasions to witness children left in cars at the grocery store where I shop. In one case, I called the police myself... in the other, I notified a store employee. In both cases, there was extreme concern expressed, and absolutely immediate attention given to the situation. But when I've done the same upon witnessing dogs left in cars for very long periods of time at the same store... well, the police won't come, and the store employees have acted like, "So? What's the big deal?!"   Sad I'll never understand that kind of mindset!

Anyway, I'm so glad she has these two sweet new babies and that they won't be frozen and fed to snakes!!! Hope you are very proud of yourself... you did a great, great thing!  Smiley

I'm so sorry to hear that Charm's baby died - but really happy that she's being such a good mum to the two newbies. They'll never know how lucky they are!!
