My girl starsha is about 2.75 years old. She's lost a lot of hair on the back of her neck and her skin looks very dry. Can I put anything on her skin to help this? I know I can give her olive oil, but I'm not sure if I should give an older rat so much extra fat.

My older rats were given cod liver oil a couple of times a week. It's good for their joints and skin.

You can also apply the olive oil directly to her skin.  I did that with my hairless girl when we first got her and her skin was dry.  That way, it doesn't hurt if she grooms it off.  Smiley
