Lola's done it again! i'm getting the WEIRDEST behaviour out of her! Its gotta be the pregnancy. Today she's moved all her ground up corncob and crushed walnut bedding out of one side of the tank and presses herself as flat and pancake-like as possible, belly up against the glass. Now I KNOW the cage is nice and cool because i've got her in the A/C, and I keep a thermometer (I know, i'm nuts) inside the cage 24/7! She and Metri are separated now, and he mewls for her all night its really quite depressing
. She sleeps in my room now, i've moved her from the office/den/library that is attached to my room through a bathroom and she's on my bedside table! Its so fun to watch her while I try to sleep... And then again when she takes all her food to the top of her sleeping box (I made it ALL BY MYSELF! Its 8''x8'' with holes bored in it with mesh windows and a hinged top... I had to expand the hole so her very baby enhanced form could get through) and drops it peice by peice, lightest to heaviest until it makes a loud enough *thunk* that I wake up... Its not so amusing. She never did this before... Oh! and she's gotten HUGE since I last wrote... Before my breeder said oh maybe only 4-6 rat pups... now we're talking in the 10-15 range! This is so cool!
