Well, I might be breeding my silvered chocolate self dumbo, RBR Hailey's Comet, with either a beige hooded or a mink berkshire (havent decided) which are from my past litters...both males are d/c. I am only breeding once, but it depends on whether my mom decides to let me or not. If she says yes, I'd like to try and find people possibly interested in babies. The female has a pedagree, the males dont but the males were from my 1st and 2nd litter last year and their mother is a black berkshire, dad is a champaigne capped dumbo. The parents of the black berkshire are a PEW hairless male and a beige berkshire female. I got some beautiful babies out of their 2 litters including mink, blue, beige, black and champaigne in berkshire, hooded, and capped. Hailey's pedigree is at:
http://www.geocities.com/roobearrattery/ReebokxDoyle.htmlI do not know what I would be expecting in the litter; variety of black, chocolate, mink, blue, beige, and siamese in self, berkshire, hooded, and self. Also expecting dumbo!
If you're wondering why I wanted to breed is because Hailey is a large, and very sweet rat. The beige hooded from my 1st litter has the best personality, is large, and very laid back. The babies will be like the parents, sweet and laid back...and hopefully large. If I dont breed the beige hooded, I will be breeding the mink berkshire who is gorgeous and perfect markings.
Babies will be ready the 1st weekend of August, if everything goes as planned. Adoption fee is $15 for same-sex pair (add $4 per rat after 2. ex: 3rats=$19), or $10 for a single rat (only if you have other rats of the same sex!). Add $2 for each dumbo rat. These will be sold as PETS ONLY! And a contract will be signed stating they will be bought as pets only, and you can contact me at anytime throughout the rats life with and questions and if you can no longer keep the rat(s), return them and I will help find them a new home. You will also get a caresheet on rats and a starter-supply of rat food.
There is a 10% non-refundable deposit and the rat(s) that you would like to reserve. They must be picked by the age of 6 weeks or they will be put back up for adoption.
*You have a choice of putting your adoption fee towards the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, in Clayton NJ, or another Shelter/Rescue of your choice.
