For my new batch of rat food mix I went out to look for Kashi cereal for the wheat puff part. There's so many! I don't know which one to pick - what do you guys use?

Thanks Smiley

I bought it a while ago, but I believe there is a straight wheat puff Kashi....Yeah, I've noticed there's a bunch of different ones....but I'm almost positive I bought puffed wheat Kashi.
You can get puffed wheat in other brands too, right?

I started out trying the plain "Seven Whole Grains with Sesame," but they didn't care for it. So I bought the "Honey Puffed" variation of the same (7 grain), and they love it. I know, probably too much sugar, but I only give them a little compared to other foods they get (primarily HT blocks now), and it's good, healthy stuff. Oh, and I like it too... add a little soy milk, and... yummy!

I just buy the organic puffed kind, the box simply says Kashi. The rat love it and it tastes great! Wink

I use Kashi GoLean Crunch...it's got oats, long grain brown rice, rye, hard red winter wheat, triticale, buckwheat, barley, and sesame seeds. In fact that's probably what Jodi was using. My rats love it though...it's their favorite part of the mix. The protein may be a tad high, but the fat content is good. I really only use it because my mom buys it in bulk, so I don't have to pay out of my own pocket for that part of the rat food  Grin

I use the Go Lean Crunch, and the one in the dark brown box that says, "From Kashi, to Good Friends".  I have a bowl of those cereals every day, so it's on hand.  The rats like either one.
