Rats are my obsession!

« on: June 06, 2002, 03:47:03 AM »

My sister bought sardines for the cat, but he won't eat them so she wants to see about trying them with the rats.  I said no, but she wants to.  So does anyone know if they are bad or good or okay for our ratties?

I was lucky enough to have been part of Willie's life and I am eternally grateful for the 2.5 years she gave me.

As far as I know sardines and fish are ok for rats. I know they should have oysters in their diet for iron, and I know that rats can have salmon.
They might be a bit salty though.

Probably good the cat won't eat them. I *think* I heard that fish is bad for male cats, but I can't remember why.
