I have five handfed male rats, born 6/16/04, that need homes. If I can't find homes for them soon, I may have to take them to a pet store or the SPCA. They were born at a local pet store, and their mother died so I handfed them for two weeks. They are all very sweet boys, getting rather large now, and I just have nowhere to put them. If no one can adopt them right now, would any rescues consider taking them in? I am out of a job right now, and I cannot afford five more rats. Four of them are agouti hoodeds, and there is one black hooded.
I also have six male mice that need homes. They were from a litter at a Petsmart, and would have been sent back to the supplier (I think they would have died on the way there) if I hadn't taken them and their mother. There are five agouti selfs, and one black self. Their situation is not quite as urgent as the rats; they are all in a 20 gallon long tank, and so far have been getting along pretty well. The only exception is one boy with swollen testicles, but I'm going to get him checked out soon. I also plan on separating him from his brothers. Again, if any rescue organizations can take these guys, it would help me out a lot. Thanks.
