hi folks --
there will be an exotic pet expo in hadley, MA on saturday, june 15th!!
i will be there representing rats and mice, and my rescue will all be there to say hi!! i will also have rat and mouse supplies for sale, raffles of little gift baskets, etc to raise money for the rescue!!
i will also be meeting a few people there that want to adopt my rescues - NO rats will be available that day, only people who have contacted me in advance are able to get rats (hint hint!) - because i cant allow my animals to go out as impulse adoptions!!
if anyone is interested, let me know -- it would be great to put a few faces to some names, and tracy and i will be there !!!! (piper was coming, but she cant anymore).

I can't be there (I'm in California), but I admire you for not adopting out your animals right then and there. I see this a lot at the Petco in my town and it really worries me sometimes (the local SPCA/shelter often have animals right by the entrance inside the store). I often wonder whether that person taking the animal is responsible and caring. And there is no way to know with spur-of-the-moment adoptions.

Hey since there are so many people that are going can someone here possibly do me a favor? I live in Eugene so I of course cannot attend. I was wondering if anyone can possibly see if someone there has "ROCK CAVIES". I can send a pic of one if anyone wants to see. See I missed the exotic expo that was here. I just need to know a breeder name or something like that. Can anyone possiblt take pictures soI can see what animals are there. I have never been to an exotic animal expo before! Ah.........my dream! LOL

Pouched Rat

I'd go, but they'd kick me out for bringing a STO on my shoulder..

they'd be like.. "AHH~!! DISEASES!  and um.. WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE!!"  even if I had his last vet checkup with me.

eh well, I bet someone there will have short tailed opossums, anyway!   I love my guy and keep thinking about becoming USDA licensed to breed them...  get a few from across the country....  nah.  maybe in oh, 20 years from now if they're not illegal everywhere by then!  they have perfect temperaments and never bite, anyway

I wish I could go, but it's 2.5 hours away, and this weekend is study time for finals  Undecided. It's just as well though. If I were going I'd probably have a GGMR attack and ask you to bring a whole cageful of ratties!  Wink

Yes, except for those of us that don't have our own car ( Roll Eyes), certain other people may not be so excited to drive 2.5 hours. It's a hassle getting my parents to drive 20mins away for a dog show!  Tongue

Hey, I took the bus.  A Peter Pan bus to a place that is all green and I saw cows.
My family backed out at the last second (like 9pm last night!) so I went searching for amtrak and bus schedules.
