San Diego Rat Emergency!!

A person who was taking care of 40 rats was killed in a car accident. His pet rats are all colors, ages, and of both sexes, and are now in serious danger!!!! For now, Fenella with http://www.weecompanions.org is watching over them but they don't have the room to foster them long term!

Some of these rats will be shown at the Pet Spectacular http://www.petspectacular.com on June 23 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles either in photos or in real life at Angela's Rabbit and Small Animal Adoptions Booth. (Jan Martin with Rat Lovers Association is going to be there with them) There is a chance that they will be shown on June 15 in Laguna Nigel also. As far as I know, the rats are healthy and are with other rats currently. Obviously, you would need to quarantine them before introducing them to your rats.

It is very sad for this man's family. How horrible!!

hubby reacted more favorible than I expected when I mentioned this to him (don't get me wrong, he wasn't jumping up and down excited) but he was willing to talk about it.  

So, I'll probably see if they have a couple of young females.

I really can't take any new rats, but I felt so aweful for the family and the ratties that I sent out an email ot anyone I know who might be able to help. I live in CA and have many friends in Southern California. If I hear anything back from them, I will certainly pass the word on to you Ratadoptions. Good luck.
