Rat Mom!

Hi folks,

I have been working with a rescue here in the SF
bay area and things are getting desparate.

We need to find homes for all the ratties there for
several reasons. No. 1 is that the owner of the rescue
is now preggers herself and she can no longer take
care of all the ratties.

The second concern is that the place where the rats
are being kept is a converted garage which is now really
hot during the day. The owner can't afford to run an
air conditioner (even if she had one which she doesnt)
so it is very hot there during the day. The heat is
really hard on the rats as you can imagine even though
we are cooling them with ice in jars and fans.

So we need to find them homes asap. There are rats
of all ages and sizes, boys and girls. Most are the
cream colored ones though there are some albinos and
chocs as well. Most are really wonderful and sweet and
would make great additions to families and homes.

If you are interested and can help, please send me a
note via lile@art.net.

I hope to have pictures up on ratrights.org soon so that
folks can see the ratties.

Once again, things are desparate and I am afraid that
if folks can't adopt, we will be losing lots of rats to
heat exhaustion!

This rescue is located in Mountain View CA.

thanks,

Which rescue is this? Is there a website?

Rats and other pocket pets for adoption in Southern CA.

The term pocket pets is used to describe small pets other than cats and dogs. It in no way suggests that these small pets are "throw aways" or not as worthy of proper care as "larger pets!

The rescue is the Ratti Ratz Rescue in Mountain View.
The website is

http://www.rattieratz.com/

I hope to have pictures up of the rats starting tomorrow
evening here on ratrights.org.

Anyone who can adopt is needed as the rattery is
becoming a refural now instead of a place where rats
will stay due to the situation.

And the rats really need homes. They have been waiting
a long time for that special someone to take them and
it's time. The heat is another big factor which only
contributes to the urgency of this request.

thanks,
