Ok, I've been trying to litter train the boys (2, about 10 weeks) and doing pretty well.  One is just about completely trained, the other is getting it.  When it comes to pee, it's everywhere.  The mark the towels that are elsewhere in the cage and it sinks now.  My mom had an idea that just might work.  She suggested filling the bottom level (currently where the litter box is) with litter and then after a couple weeks only fill half and so on til it's just the box.  Would the boys associate doing their business with the litter enough to peeing in the box too?  Or is there another way to get rid of the odder?  Thanks for any advice you might have!

Sorry to say this, but from my experience it just isn't possible to get them to pee in a litter box.
I haven't heard of anyone being successful at it, but try your idea, it can't hurt.
Good luck
