Okay, so we went to pick him up yesterday and brought him to his new home. He was terrified, especially being put back into that awful cardboard-carrier-of-doom, but seemed calmed when I held him. My friend took him and held him in her lap, and he sat for a moment, then ran back to me. I guess sitting with and petting him for an hour, and visiting him with treats a few times (and water!) had more of an impact then I though. He remembers me, at least. I love this boy.

His name is 'Shatzy' meaning, "my love" in German. He's a gorgeous black hooded boy...I'll try to get pictures ASAP. Since my friend couldn't get out to buy all the supplies until today, I lent them a guinea-pig cage we had lying around in the garage (so much larger than the 10-gallon crap he's used to...poor baby), dropped off some food, litter, treats, toys, and a hammock. He seemed alright, and even took some yogurt off our fingers...Still really scared though.

So, she plans on bringing him a friend this weekend. I'm a little lost about how to go about this...The quarantine thing is a problem, as the only room her (heavily prey-driven) cats don't go into (as of yesterday) is her room. I'd offer to keep it somewhere in my house, but then there are my girls, as well as the fact that we have the same cat problem. I could probably get around the cat thing, but my mom is a different story...Gah. Help?
