Here's the story:

Any Rat Rescue has taken in a group of 28 ratties. Some are about 5 months, some are 3 months and im guessing the parents to be somewhere around 6 to 9 months. They are all tan hooded or capped and two (I think) with black markings. All these ratties are very social, look to be in good heath, beautiful coats, no porphrin and very, very sweet.  All arrived on Sunday, Oct. 31.

Background: A man, while on the job at an apartment complex (APS worker I think) came into an empty apartment where 7 rats had been abandoned. Three males and 4 females. All were cramped into two separate hamster carriers without food or water or bedding, they had nothing. They had belonged to a renter who had bred them to feed his snakes and had then been evicted. The apartment manager was going to "set them free" This man kindly took all the ratties home with him hoping to find good homes for the seven. Well as you can guess the seven turned into thirty and this man and his family became caregivers to quite alot of ratties. They cared for all until just recently when they realized they were overwhelmed and have had no luck in placing them into homes. The daughter in the family, Christina gave us a call for help and all the ratties, (minus two of the original females whom they kept) are now at my (ckhs) house in our care.

Pics of all available rats

We're looking for permanent homes and foster homes if possible.  Any help out there??  We can attempt to work out transport, but honestly, we've not had to attempt multiple transports very far, so it could be a challange.

I thought there were 28 -- only 25? Alright, we're 3 ahead of where I thought we were!

But
2-- andrea
2 -- some person--charley and calvin
2--some other person-- little boys
2-- danielle

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's 17. Unless you're not counting the mama that may have some issues?

Yay for the adopted ones!!!!!   Balloon Party

Okay, so I've lost track. How many rats have you found homes for and how many are still looking?
Me and math just don't get along at all, lol.
I am so so happy that you guys got all this positive exposure and WITH fantastic results!!!

I would like more info about what rats you might have left out of the 25.  I am looking to adopt 2 females, not pregnant for my 9 year old daughter.
