Well, let me see here...

I believe that Ziggabella Rattery (mentioned by DesertSands) is actually in Virginia.  I know they are near DC.

I think Bumpy Oaks Rattery is also in Virginia.  Their web site is at http://www.geocities.com/bumpyoaksrattery/, or you can contact them at smarsh97@aol.com

Hmmm... who else is in Virginia?

Well, there's Making Mischief Rattery (MMR) near Falls Church.  You can contact Lila at d_spice_of_life@hotmail.com

There's Oak Rarities in Hampton Roads, VA.  You can visit their website at http://members.home.net/emileee1974/index.html, or you can contact Kelle Gray or Owen Nichols at emilee1974@cox.net or oakrarities@cox.net

Blackwater Rattery is located about one hour southeast of Richmond.  You can contact Susan B. Townsend at monitor@visi.net

Carol's Critters is located near Virginia Beach/Norfolk.  You can contact Carol Case at vabcarol@hotmail.com

Blessed Acres Farm is in Wingina, VA.  You can contact Laura Collins at ljanecollins@yahoo.com

Parduin Rattery is in Coeburn, VA, and has a website at http://www.geocities.com/parduinrats/.  They can be emailed at d_spice_of_life@mail.com

Schon Ratte Rattery is in Virginia, and can be contacted at hisblood4you@hotmail.com

Von Beil Kennel's in Fredericksburg, VA has a website at http://hometown.aol.com/NPGDavis/VonBeilKennelHome.html, or they can be contacted via email at NPGDAVIS@aol.com

That's about it for Virginia.  However, depending on where you/they are located, breeders in other states may be the way to go.

In Cary, North Carolina, there's Julie Mitchell.  You can contact her via email at summerell1@earthlink.net

Animals Exotique is in Zebulon, NC.  Their web site is  http://www.animalsexotique.com/ and they can be emailed at Anmlsexot@aol.com

Then there's Tennessee.  Not much there, but there are a few.

For example, Crook's Country Critters is in Liberty, Tennessee and can be emailed at glider@dtccom.net

Heavenly Pets & Exotics in Cross Plains, Tennessee can be contacted at HvnlyPetsNExotic@hotmail.com

Then there's Kentucky.  Covington, Kentucky has King Rat's Rodentry, Rodent Rescue and Shelter.  Ed Watkins' web site is http://members.tripod.com/~king-rats-rodentry/Rodent/Main.html.  He can be reached at QuvSuvwIa@AOL.com

Bluegrass Rats is in Lexington, Kentucky.  Their web site is http://www.lambofgoth.com/bluegrassrats.htm.  You can contact Aimee via email at lambofgoth@lambofgoth.com or lambofgoth@earthlink.net

Ratatat Rattery is in Louisville, Kentucky.  You can contact them at moonwatcher@peoplepc.com

Finally, Courtney Seitz Sr. is also in Louisville.  You can contact Courtney at cseitzsr@aol.com

PLEASE NOTE:  Just because a rattery is farther away from you doesn't mean you should write them off.  A lot of breeders are willing to meet you half way.  Sometimes, they are even able to come farther.  You can also get together with other people who want rats from the same place to save on time/gas.  I definitely suggest contacting all the breeders (even the ones in West Virginia) to figure out which one meets your needs.  Smiley

Shocked  What a great list of breeders!!  It's certainly helpful to the rest of us looking here in VA.  Just a little FYI on a few:
Ziggabella is actually in W VA...as I've said before Renee has wonderful ratties...we have two of her Dumbo boys...I believe she is planning a litter soon!!!
I have written one or more times to a couple of the others and  Huh haven't gotten a response i.e. Making Mischief Rattery & Schon Ratte Rattery...I'm sure they get a lot of mail though.  Von Beil Kennel's rattery only has hairless ratties.  Hope this is helpful!
