Well, Loki finished her 10-day (yes, too short, I know) course of baytril last weekend. She was fine for a while afterwards, no sneezing or anything. But today I noticed that she was sneezing again, and coughing also! I suspected that it might come back, so no big surprise...But I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice?

I'm taking her in to the vet probably tomorrow, and I'd like to get a few things I can suggest to my vet. He's our 'family vet' so I'd really rather give him the business instead of driving for an hour to get to the exotics vet, and I know he's willing to learn...I have a hard copy of the drug chart that I'm going to bring him, but what I really want from you guys is med suggestions.

So?

First of all, suggest that she stay on the antibiotic treatment longer than 10 days...21 days is ideal but I prefer 30.
Also suggest along with baytril she get amoxil or clavamox in case its a secondary infection to myco and it will cover where the baytril fails.

Good luck!
