i am always open to adopting any ratties, however all the ads are in the USA or far away from me. If there are any member in here who do have rats in ontario that need to be rescued, i have room in my house and my heart Smiley always here to help Hyper

Geez, I've seen SO MANY Ontario-area adoptions....Hold on, lemme see if I can't dig them up.

This was posted by judydh and bit by Vanessa (I combined posts...kinda) on the RMCA Forums on Nov 17th--might want to check up on the status of these kids!

Rabbit Rescue Inc (www.rabbitrescue.ca)
Seven males all born around the beginning of August, or late July.
Not sure of when. Two black berk/PEW's pairs, plus a trio of tan/tan
hooded.
Spayed female, probably a few months old now, PEW dumbo. She is
alone at the moment.
There are still two males, and two females out of the two litters of
blues that are available that were born around the end of April.
There are six males/females (unsure of how many of each) that are
remaining from the litter of blues born at the shelter around the end
of May.

Please pass along this info to as many forums/groups as you would
like. Feel free to copy and paste if you wish.
Not a good situation for homeless rats right now, and it would really
be nice to see these guys in good homes.
Thanks.

The petratscanada forum is gone as of August Cry  It was my home and it makes me sad that it's gone.  The main page is still up but no adoptions.
You can try this Yahoo Group, there are lots of great listings there, especially in your area: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Canada-Rat-Adoption/
or our new forum - sort of an answer to the demise of petratscanada. It's for all pets, not just rats and still a bit quiet but full of nice people .  We would welcome the new traffic! www.gotpets.ca

There is another great forum that I will post when it comes back online, unfortunately, its' host seems to have neglected to pay the bill or something equally annoying, there were a few adoptions there last time I visited.
