I Was A Rattie Mommy For 9 Years...

« on: December 11, 2004, 10:00:23 PM »

Found him runnning loose, a client brought him in to us, we can't keep him and put him up for adoption per the hospital admin, but the people who found him are trying to adopt him out, they can only keep him for a few days. They are on the waiting list for the SPCA adoption ceter, so he's up for private adoption until then. If you know anyone who wants a Boxer/Pibble mix, then let me know, I know we'd be able to get him a few hours away if needed be for transport. He is the cutestwiddle thing. I have no pictures, sorry.

PS - He's about 4 months old and UTD on all shots. He'll most likely be neutered before adoption, we're thinking of all chippping in some $ to have him neutered so he doesn't end up a breeder, since alot of people will porbably think he's "cool" to breed because he's brindle. Roll Eyes

I'm in NY, long island to be precise. My other half said we could take the pup, but right now we're in the middle of redoing our backyard so our current 2 dogs have more room to run & play.   Undecided  That could take up to 2 months. Unless anyone knows where i could get 25 yards of sand really cheap.
How long does he have?

Well, currently I have 2 people interested in him, but neither is a definate. So we'll see how that goes first. I'm waiting until Friday to hear back from one lady and if that lady doesn't take him, then a girl from my work's mom may take him. But hey, can I interest you in Simon!? LOL, Poor guy is STILL awaiting a home. Unless it's a puppy you're looking for, then I'll understand. But if you are open to getting a dog, consider Simon, we could work out a road trip when you are ready. Just throwing it on the table.  Wink

Simon's Past Threads

Simon on Petfinder

You'd be the number ONE hero at my work if you were to take him. the poor thing has been with us for MONTHS, went home for a while and got brought back.

Anyway, I'm babbling, I'll keep everyone posted.

UPDATE: Just heard back from first lady, can't take him, but my co-worker's mom is definately taking him now. Thanks for the help guys and gals!

OK, well now he is in need of a home again! The person who was going to take him, well their apt. said no. So he needs a home asap. She is currently paying for boarding and won't be able to spend a fortune on keeping him there, so he needs a home fast. Sorry to keep bouncing back and forth!  Tongue

PS - We did end up getting him neutered on thursday.  Smiley

KittyRat, if he's still for adoption in 2 months then it'd be possible to probably form a transport, but we're trying to get him outta here asap. I'll definately keep you posted though. Smiley

ugh. still having trouble with the forum. my post never made it up i guess.
The pup is welcome at my house if a transport can be arranged. We started on the yard already, and it shouldnt take too long. Besides, I wouldnt want the pup to be out in the cold for too long at a time.
And anyone who can drop sand off in my yard is invited to our first spring bar-b-que  Balloon

unless you are taking it, kelly, i could do the first leg of the trip. anywhere in VA along I95.
any wednesday or sunday.

(which reminds me, are those two rat boys going north or south? if north, maybe you could combine the transport.)

ARG, I think the boys are still going South, after X-mas, to FFR.

I guess after I left on thursday, Mikey went home for the weekend with an amployee's aunt, so she MAY keep him. I'll keep you posted.

Well, they didn't keep him, but today someone came in and adopted him. So thanks everyone for the help and offers. They were a nice younger couple. Seemed very sweet. Hooray for Mikey! They were filling out the paperwork as I was leaving for lunch.

Oh wow...  I saw this thread a little late...  I am going from NY to VA and back again the third week in January.  I could have done the whole transport, almost.  I haven't been online much lately due to my move.  Oops.   Blue Dumbo Big Eyes

Any other transport needs, I can definately assist with, though.  I'm definately making this trip, let me know if rats, etc. need a ride!
