If you breed disease resistant strains and have a family tree for your rats that is accurate and goes back several generations or you are an active member of NARR please let me know so I may veiw the family history of your rats.
The main problem I have had in the past is respitory problems and infections from either mycoplasma or sialodacryoadentis. I am hoping to find strains who have been proven totally resistant to these problems and are also not prone to other genetic problems such as tumors, diabetes etc.
Color and size doesn't matter but I must say I have always loved english badger rats, blue rats and strains of "larger than usual" rats. This doesn't matter at all though if you have good healthy rats who are prone to wonderful health and nice, long disease free lives. Hairless rats are not a good idea where I live because we do have colder winters.
Anyhow, I would like a young rat or rats who have been recently weaned or to be weaned soon, I am willing to wait. Thank you for reading my post and please email me if you can help me out or if you know someone who can! I'm going to go finish setting up my deluxe ratty heaven!!!
