STILL LOOKING- young loney female in Mass needs home- free cage goes with her

STILL LOOKING, the adoption below did not work out, We have one left and she is loney.
My daughter has lost interest since she got a puppy in Dec.
I feel so bad for this last one that I will give up the condo 3 level cage (retail $134) to go with her. She is light tan with brownish eyes. Her tail is cropped, don't know why, got her that way.
She is sweet but shy. She likes to travel all around you and on you but doesn't like to be grabbed or held. She got along with our other rats no problem. Very sweet
We live in Mansfield, Ma. Willing to meet you half way, within reason.

I am interested in your rat. I have one female rat that lost her sister about a month ago. I live in So Maine. My computer does not work that well so please call me. I can call you right back to save on phone charges.
Thank you Christine

Hi, I am interested. I also have a lonely female rat. If you posted before I e-mailed you before. I have limited computer capacities so if you send me a direct e-mail I can respond to that at least today. We are going to be without a computer soon until my husband reformats this one. I live in So Maine but hopefully we can work something out.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know (if you didn't already) that there are many folks in the New England area who are available to assist with transport, including me. Just post what you need and those who can help will respond.
Good luck placing this little lady - I know she's been alone a while now.

Luceo, It seems that there are great people out there that can help us. I live in Saco ME which is about 45 min N or Portsmouth NH. I hope that helps me get the rat. I have been looking for a single adult female for about 2 months now. My little girl Bingo really missed her sister.

If someone could get her past Boston, I am about an hour or so from Saco Maine--would be glad to help. ( I am in Methuen)

It looks like Luceo can get her just past Boston for me, and if Chris could travel south a bit and meet me in NH--could work!! How big is the cage? Can it be broken down? If not I will have to borrow my brother in law's truck--let's get this girl to her new home!!

Hi. I might not need the cage if that helps. My one rat right now is in a homeade cage that I made from a suggestion here. It is those wire home depot shelves. It is about 4 feet high and about 18 inches wide. My rat also goes in my sons room for play time. I was going to take the cage so I can help the socialization part and then if I didn't need it I was going to donate it to Kim at the ARL in Westbrook. I can't do a transport over the weekend but Thur or Fri early evening will work or next week baring any snowstorms. I hope something can be arranged.
Thanks everyone Christine

this is great and the offer to transport is above and beyond. I thank everyone. the cage is ~ 2ft wide by ~3.5ft tall. the wire top comes off the base but cannot be broken down from there. it will fit in an suv no problem or across the back seat of a standard size car. They only way I could transport to Boston on a weekday is if it is first thing in the morning. I live in Mansfield (1hr south of Boston) and I work in Cambridge. I cannot leave the rattie in the car all day since it is too cold and my company will not allow rats in the building (don't ask). RNPaulie and I will have to work this out. but if flexible we could make it happen. RNPaulie if you contact me directly by email, we can talk. thanks so much.

I volunteer my fiance to pick her up in Mansfield and bring her and her cage north of Boston. He lives in Norwood and comes up for me in Malden all the time. He has next Wednesday off.

Next Wed works for me. My son is in school till 12 am and then he is supposed go to gymnastics at 1pm but he can miss that if he needs. My children are 5 and almost 2 so the less driving the better but I will be able to go as far as Portsmouth if that helps. My rat right now lives next to my computer and I can't wait. I know she is going crazy without a friend. I am keeping her posted on the plans.
Thanks Again everyone Christine

I have my schedule, I have Monday off--my car is going in the shop @#$%!!! Died on Sat ARGGH--Wednesday off and then next weekend pretty flexible if we can commit to something I can make plans around it. I will probably be making a run soon to Tracy in Braintree for more supplies so if I can plan to go there is it easier to meet me instead of going past Boston?? Let me know everyone!!

Hi-I'm with KittyRat...I'd take her in a heartbeat as well.
I'm in Binghamton, NY-so I don't know if this is doable.
My hubby's car just died and we only have one vehicle and 4 kids-so I don't know how far I could travel to meet.
Let me know if you may want to discuss this any further, and possibly work something out.

Won't someone take this sweet lonely girl? She even comes with a 3ft cage!!! If you want her but don't have room for another big cage you can always donate it to Kim's ark! I will help transport too. I can pick her up in Maine and get her as far as the south MA border. Come on guys. Find some room for this lonely girl.
