My baby plays hide-and-go-seek!

I had a girl who was immunosuppressed, and we kept having to rotate the antibiotics.  If you decide to go with the 'lifetime antibiotics' route, you should keep in mind that the antibiotics may need to be rotated.  Keep a close eye on your rats, weigh them every day, and just hope that you notice a problem while it is still treatable.

You may also need to use Bene-Bac to ensure healthy digestion.

If I were you, at this point, I would get them tested if at all possible.  Much as 'lifetime antibiotics' can work, it doesn't always work.  I wouldn't put any rat through that unless I knew there was a reason for it.
