I will deifinately be coming I-85, since I know it...not REALLY well, but I have made the trip a few times
I was thinking somewhere around Banks Crossing? But please, let me know what you think.
And Sunday sounds fine to me. I will leave the whole weekend open just in case, but that should work. I will probably leave around 9am, so that would put me arriving anywhere from 12-1 depending on where I am going.

Well, I am trying to find a location that will put me at approx a three hour drive. It looks like perhaps Commerce may work as its right off I-85 ***edited for safety purposes***

Commerce is great, I know where it is. Not that location specifically, but I'm sure I can find the exit. Here in Atlanta we live by exits on the major interstates: 75, 85, 20, 400, and 285..lol.
It'll be about a 2 to 3 hour drive for me, depending on traffic. It's no problem at all.

Ok, so commerce it is
Thanks for helping me a bit on the driving...I will be exhausted after this weekend...I am NO GOOD at trips....bleh
I will let you know an exact time as the weekend approches, but as of now if I leave at 9am, I should get there approx. 12:30. Does that work for you and the time you need to meet FF?

catsgurleygirl has been in contact with you about 2 females. Are they coming with me and then to Nan or are they being transported by someone else?

k, that sounds great. FF and I will meet later that Sunday afternoon with everyone else's ratties except I'm not sure about DaRatter. Am I to keep hers until she comes up or is she meeting you? I have no problems either way. Or if she's going to pick up after me by someone further down on transport. I know she lives in Statesboro and Atlanta must be closer than Birmingham.
That's about the only question I have!!
Yay for baby ratties!!!

Hrmm..here's the situation with this weekend. I'm working Saturday, so all the transport will be taking place Sunday. I'm meeting Liz around 12:30 Sunday afternoon to pic up the ratties. Then I'm supposed to meet FF later that afternoon in Douglasville to give her her ratties and Nan's, and probably Catsgurley's. The only problem I can see for you is that it's gonna be later in the afternoon..possibly around 2pm.
Is there anyway you can stay later that Sunday? I know it may be an inconvenience. Otherwise, I don't mind keeping them here until we can make other arrangements. Let me know!!

Oh no, I totally understand. It really all depends on how early Liz can get down here. The times we made were all relevant to when she could get to Commerce. I'm sure she'll read this post today and we'll know, otherwise I'll email her as well.

ok...I am a night owl which is why I was going to say 9 to ensure I got a bit of sleep...but I can leave around 8 if that helps everyone. That should put me in Commerce around 11:30ish. If that works let me know

*raises hand* hey, not trying to be a butt, but I haven't heard anything as to if girls are going to me
. Is there any word yet? Anyone I need to be talking to about getting some transportation closer to Memphis TN? Please let me know what I need to be doing...or if I just need to sit still and shut-up
(I get worried everytime I go look at the girls and don't see my name on 3 & 5

k..It'll take me around 2 hours to get to that location in Commerce to meet you and DaRatter.
FF...it'll take me about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to drive from Commercemart to the location I plan on leaving from Commerce and going straight to Douglasville..and I'll call you when I 'm in the car leaving from Commerce.
Thank GOD all this traveling through Atlanta is on a Sunday!!!
Hehehe..I can't wait, though.

Catsgurleygirl, its just a matter of seeing who can get them to you. Or if you can meet any of the following, FF Daratter or Nan. I am not really involved with what they are doing and where they are meeting, but if I get the OK, on transport to you then I will mark them. As of now I have them un-officially reserved for you, so no worries

I'm sitting tight waiting to see when Furry Friends will pick up the ratties and then I'll know when I can go and get them. Memphis is four hours away from Huntsville so that's too far for me to go. Maybe Daratter is closer? I don't mind keeping them here in Huntsville until you can come and get them.

Yeah, hubby wouldn't go for four hours...I hope someone could get them closer, but I totally understand if that is not possible.

perhaps a midway point between you guys would work (or for anyone else who can help). 2 hours isn't quite as bad.

I think I could use my feminine wiles to persuade my husband to drive two hours....
. Though, that could only be done on Sat or Sun. He is working on 2 Ph.D's (at the same time
) and has tons of work...during the week would be impossible!!!

DaRatter is in Statesboro , Ga, which is in south georgia. The closest person among us that I'm aware of is FF. She may be willing to travel or keep the babies until transport is arranged, Catsgurley.
I'd love to help out but it would be at least 5 weeks before I could commit to help going towards Memphis. That's quite a drive!!!
See what FF can do..I don't think either one of us would mind taking care of the babies until transport can be arranged!! I know FF has been lobbying for you to get the babies, so I'm sure she's remembering you. You're not forgotten
.
We'll see what happens. I'm sure you'll get some babies!!

Well I talked to hubby and I asked if we could take a "Sunday drive" and he was like sure, where do you want to go? I know we could do a two hour for sure now.

taku, BLESS you for giving me the Petsmart location that I couldn't remember
That IS the one I was talking about. So, I will meet you there. I am guessing around 2:30. I can assure you I will be in Petsmart buying all sorts of supplies! I am not sure whether we will be in a Silver Lexus or a White Mountaineer. Probably the Mountaineer. I did give you my cell # didn't I?
Nan, that should put us back here around 4 or so Sunday afternoon. I am not all the way in Birmingham. I am in Warrior, AL about 25 minutes from Cullman. If you want to come and get the babies Sunday afternoon you can or if you are available anytime during the week I could come up a bit further toward you and meet up. Is there anyway you are going to be able to help get these rats to catsgurleygirl?
Let me know what you want to do.
