It is supposed to arrive tomorrow- I'm so excited! I bought zip ties like I heard recommended. Is this over an hour project?

Yes, it will likely take a lot more time than you think.  Cable ties are BRILLIANT!  They're much easier to cut off than the metal rings when you realize you're being dumb, and the door is on backwards!

The worst part is that my hand KILLED me after closing all those c-rings.  So, you may want to try and sucker somebody in...erm, ask somebody to help you Smiley

It took me about 1 1/2 hours to put together my 695 and I used the c clamps yeah it does make your hands sore but I personally didn't like the loose way the cage was with the zip ties when I tried them first.  I laid everything out in order before I started so that I didn't get anything on backwards but decided after I had the cage together that I really wanted to have the middle floor (which comes preattached) in backwards so that the hole to access the bottom level was protected by the ramp going up so that the girls didnt fall through the hole in their attempt to be the first to the treats and to come out.

Mine took about 1.5 hours as well.  I felt the zipties were pretty secure as they were, and I think I'll appreciate it if I ever want to break the cage down for any reason.

My 435 has the same exact dimensions as a 695 plus a flip top and it takes me about 20 minutes to put together using c-clamps. using zip ties, it takes about 45 minutes.

Yep, about an hour.  It is a LOT easier using zip ties to put it together, and then put the rings on.  I was afraid to leave just the ties on, I could see the little monsters chewing them off and escaping.

Well- I got it Saturday and the boys are happy! It took less then an hour. I used zip ties and c rings (which I thought were easier actually). It is HUGE and now I NEED MORE RATS!!!! Am loving the cage though; of course I haven't cleaned it for the first time yet so we'll see if I still do!

It took my husband all of about 30 minutes to put it together, but he's mechanical like that with everything. It would have taken me at least an hour. Men do serve their purposes.
