For Those who still use food bowls

For those who still bother using food bowls in our cages, i have a great find for you!
I was browsing Pier 1 over the weekend (using a gift card leftover from last Xmas) And found ceramic "mini souffle" dishes for $1.00 each!!! They're the same as the ones sold in pet stores for 3 or 4 times as much, but they only come in white.
They make great bowls for frozen veggies cause they hold the cold well.
If you can't find them by you, I'd be glad to buy & ship.
They'd also make great donations to needy rescues
they're not costly, and always needed.

Nifty!
I don't have trouble with overturned food dishes because I use the stainless steel ones for birds that have a bracket to attach it to the cage.

Me too Suebee I use a 1/4 circle type that has a "post" that you put through the bars and screw on the nut on the outside just wish I had bought two of them as I have not been able to find any more like it.
Those ramekins are great to use especially if you can find the 6" size

Same here, I have to use the ones attached to the cage or else it's tipped over.
I really like the ones I have. They are screwed onto the cage and you can turn the bowl and lift it from the base to add your food and water.
You can see them in the pic on the second level, green and orange.

Jorats,
Is that carpet that you are using in your cages? How do you clean them so they don't smell? It looks really comfy! Do you just get scraps from stores?
I really like your cages!

They are actually bath mats. I like to keep my cages padded, this helps prevent bumblefoot. I also use runners, both are easy to just throw in the wash.
Those F475 are the best cages I've ever had, and I went through all kinds of cages. lol

I love using what WERE my cereal bowls for
rat dishes - fiestaware cereal bowls:
I like the size & shape & sturdiness of them. The ratties
can not tip them over. Although they do throw them down
the ramps sometimes...
always ready for more fiesta, lol

I have locking crocks, but I need to switch to something non-chewable, since these ones are slowly but surely getting destroyed... I like the idea of the coop cups!

Fiesta ware! S-P-O-I-L-E-D!
I use a small but very heavy dog dish.

You think Fiestaware spoils them? My rats have handmade ceramic bowls, ergonomically designed for rats, that I made in my pottery class last year.

if the ramekins your talking about are glass, they can still tip over (dill and zach tip mine over but then again they are biiig rats.). I found some awesome food bowls at petsmart, they are plastic but my rats have only tipped them oer once. i have no Idea what they are caled( i ripped the sticker off) but they are shaped so they dont tip, very handy I bought bout 7 of them lol. heres the link, im not sure if these are the ones I have but they look like it.
